In 1844, Karl Marx explained that Communism, "as the positive transcendence of private property as human self-estrangement" is "the riddle of history solved, and it knows itself to be this solution. In 2016, 172 years later, Klaus Schwab's World Economic Forum put forth a bold future-casting video proclaiming that by the year 2030 "you will own nothing, and you will be happy." These, of course, are the same assertion. Flashing back, in 1964, in the book 'One-dimensional Man' (https://amzn.to/3HekQ9w), Herbert Marcuse explained that to move forward with the Marxist project, socialism had to figure out how to become productive without abandoning its core values and capitalism had to be reined in to curb its inherent unsustainability. That is, Marcuse reframed the riddle of history and pointed in the direction of a way to solve it. This year, in 2023, just weeks ago in an interview resulting from the Davos meeting (https://bit.ly/3RNDF8m), Klaus Schwab articulated his vision for this solution: state capitalism on the one hand and shareholder capitalism on the other have to be reconsidered into a new model he calls "stakeholder capitalism" that incorporates certain aspects of "social responsibility." Yet again, these are the same assertion. Stakeholder Capitalism and the End of History

Horrible events have been taking place over the last year or so that have been electronically pushed into our social media streams. It seems as if each event is worse than the previous one with grotesque images of grown men dancing in women’s underwear in front of small children. As I am sure you already know, it is called Drag Queen Story Hour (DQSH). 

With every new video that comes through social media, normal conservative men and women are both horrified and compelled to try and do something about stopping the next DQSH in their area.

DQSH basically follows the same prescriptions as Marxist Herbert Marcuse had prescribed in his book, Eros and Civilization:

“The psychoanalytic liberation of memory explodes the rationality of the repressed individual. As cognition gives way to re-cognition, the forbidden images and impulses of childhood begin to tell the truth that reason denies.”

The relatively new movement called “Christian Nationalism” has sensed the collective anger in regard to DQSH and has attempted to place the ending of DQSH at the forefront of their efforts to attract new supporters for their political and ecclesial ambitions.

As repulsive as DQSH is for our society, is the Church missing something in what appears to be a myopic call to jump into Christian Nationalism as the cure-all for this provocative event?

The fact is, the Church has done very little to correct its own issues that are somewhat related to the same root problem: Marxism. In the Church, we have experienced the Marxification of Christianity, and yet, no one seems to be in a hurry to remove the spectre of Marxism from the Church.

So what is the right path for the Church to take?

Woke Marxism isn't even interested in making things work. In fact, it's worse than that, even. Woke Marxism is, by definition, hostile to making things work. We're hearing a lot about "joy" now that the Kamala Harris and Tim Walz campaign have made it a byword of their project, so we have to ask what they mean by it. We all know, by this point, that Communists share your vocabulary but do not share your dictionary. So what might they mean by "joy"? Well, it appears what they mean by joy is "radical joy," which is a kind of religious ecstasy associated with believing they are going to accomplish Communism, or at least their revolution. Radical joy is rooted in "critical hope" together with a certain anger, hatred, and libido dominandi, all as expressions of "erotic" energy seeking liberation. In Herbert Marcuse's words, it is "the joy of rebellious victims."
