I’m dv5k — pronounced DUSK, not “dee-vee-five-kay”!

I’m a Happy Hardcore, J-Core, and Frenchcore DJ/Producer based in Melbourne, Australia.

I grew up during what I call the golden era of EDM — surrounded by incredible music from all kinds of genres. Monstercat was a huge part of that journey, and through their releases, I discovered my love for EDM. What started with Electro House, Trap and Brostep evolved into a deep passion for Happy Hardcore and J-Core.

Since starting my DJ journey in 2023 as a finalist at Your Shot (VIC), I’ve had the chance to play all across Australia for major promoters like PHD, Masif, XPR, Fortress, Happily Hardcore, Mirai Nights, Hoshi, and Yokai Beatz, as well as Festival Preparties for Knockout Outdoor & Gearbox Australia. I’ve also supported amazing artists including Wasted Penguinz, DJ Isaac, Tatsunoshin, Fraw, DEEZL, The Straikerz, BMBERJCK, Technikore, JTS, Suae, Unicorn on Ketamine, and many more!

In the past few years, I’ve been proud to help bring Happy Hardcore to a new generation of ravers — earning nominations for Best Overall DJ [Happy Hardcore] and Best Rising Talent [Happy Hardcore] at the 2025 Australian Hardstyle Awards.

My mission is simple: to share the music I grew up with and get everyone hyped on the genre that stole my heart.

I am an energetic, passionate, and enthusiastic 32 year old electronic music Producer & DJ. Electronic music has been apart of my life since 2008. Music always intrigued me, dancing to artists such as Michael Jackson when I was very young. My taste of music changed frequently as I grew up from Rap to Rock, to Heavy Metal, to Indie/Folk, and even to Pop. During those years I learned how to play the drums and was a band member in a few different bands, but nothing stuck. It wasn't until the track "FTS" by Showtek hooked my interest when I was 15 years old when a friend of mine played it through my car stereo. Delighted and overjoyed with what I was hearing being played from my car, I demanded that my friend turn up the volume. Since then, I honed my craft, and then went on to play countless events in the Phoenix and Tucson area over the course of 12 years which has given me plenty of live performance experience. Eventually, I started to be booked for bigger events such as Arizona's Bloodfest events and made a photo appearance in the PHX NewTimes November 5, 2015. Bloodfest then started to make Bloodfest tour dates with the first out of state Bloodfest event, "Bloodfest: Colorado" July 29th, 2017, which was in Colorado Springs, CO. I, DJ Gimmie, made it on the roster with a time slot. This was my first out of state event that I played. Since then my name has been mentioned in the PHX NewTimes for a Mary X-Mas event in PHX (2021). My experience has made me comfortable enough on stage to be able to play the role of a hype man. My stage presence is unmistakable due to rigorous headbanging, fist pumping, and unique dancing. Aside from performing and producing, I have also hosted 4 electronic music events myself with some assistance from a crew of experienced individuals.  I hope to play more events in Arizona, as well as other states, in order to share my very extensive collection of wicked beats and bass. My unwavering determination, motivation, and inspiration for electronic music has me convinced that, without a doubt, I have a deep rooted passion for electronic music. Music is a part of me, a part of my life, and will continue to be in some way or another. ♫d>_<b♫
