This mix is dedicated to BOB MONTAGUE, who has passed away peacefully after a long illness in the morning of dec 13th. Also well known under his nickname Punjabi Bill, the famous creator of Cologne's "Ifficial Art / BNKR Project", has been one of PSYCHO THRILL Cologne's best friends and one of his biggest supporters and wise mentors of the last 25 years. " Having just compiled the Tronic Treatment 2012 mix compilation for Christian Smiths flourishing imprint, there can be few artists who are more familiar with the label recent catalogue than Dosem. It comes as little surprised then that the Spaniard hits the target of what you would expect from a Tronic EP dead centre. 
Riding the line between tech and progressive house, Tales Of Tomorrow comes firing out of the blocks with an infectious, rolling percussive groove and epic but building pads which grown through slow, pulsing loops to morph into an intricate arrangement; layered with a seductive siren riff that weaves within the mix as the rhythm track drops in and out to provide maximum dancefloor dynamics. 
Spiral Attraction, originally released as an ‘album-only’ track on Dosem’s Tronic Treatment 2012 mix, maintains the vibe laid out by the a-side with the main hook created out of a combination of building pads and huge sweeping chords. Playing on the power of contrasting energies, the track pushes the euphoric heights at its peak, but returns you gradually back down to earth via a slamming tech groove. "

I tried to do an updated version from the original + some extras, with less bpm, but trying to keep the energy and the groove from the original. I like the crossover attitude from the result, with a funky but futuristic vibe at the same time.

Tony Neptune uses his first release to begin the tale of Yuri Gagarin, the cosmonaut lost to us all in 1961. He was the greatest explorer the world has ever known. Four pieces of original music have been composed to accompany the painting on the cover as part of a wider soundtrack to complement the narrative of this remarkable yet troubled man. An insert detailing the story will supplement the narrative of each issue.

On the 12th of April 1961, Yuri Gagarin was launched into orbit for the first and - so they tell us - the last time. Upon returning to Earth, Yuri became a global hero, travelling the world to tell of his adventure.
Secretly, he was plagued by strange hallucinations and a persistent glow around his vision; a cornucopia of colour in a constant corona. In 1964 - following a silent coup by Leonid Brezhnev - Yuri was banned from embarking on further manned missions into space. At first fearing madness, the cosmonaut came to see these apparitions as a signal, an invitation, a welcoming beacon from a distant lighthouse blinking across the cosmic void.

On the 27th of March 1968, aided by trusted friends within the space program, Yuri Gagarin swapped places with another cosmonaut on a secret test flight and was once more blasted into outer space. Knocked unconscious by the extreme velocity of his experimental craft, Yuri awoke a mere 15 minutes later in view not of the rapidly shrinking Earth, but an entirely alien vista; he was elsewhere...

With "SpyInTheHouse" he now returns after 10 years into the “radio business” on a regular basis, where he had been mediating the essentials of electronic music for years between the Techno/House main cities such as Detroit, Chicago or Berlin via "Evosonic" (1997 - 1999) and Cosmium Radio (1999 - 2002). Something that currently wasn’t that easy.

So "SpyInTheHouse" continues to follow the path of enthusiastic overtones and stands simply for the democracy of the so-called "cutting edge" tracks of House, Techno, Acid, Broken Beat and IDM that do sometimes leave the usual club microcosm according to the motto "Take the best from the past and move the next step 4ward into the future!"

PSYCHO THRILL Cologne-founder CLAUS BACHOR is one of the German long-term House and Techno DJs at all, and as friends in Detroit say "he's been doing this as long as anybody else that we know! His sets can range from classic Disco & old school House classics all the way to the darkest, bangin' techno that you've ever heard!" However, he's not standing still yet: The Psycho Thrill club and vinyl label run by him has just turned 25 and Bachor is still doing bookings all over Europe, the United States and beyond. 

His long-term affiliations with Detroit techno music and also his journalistic involvement with the topic of Detroit Techno/ Electro/ Chicago-House as an author/editor over the years has made him a world renowned expert. This experience and vast knowledge of the techno genre has led him to appearing in many documentaries, the most noteable being 'High Tech Soul' [ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ddh88l_57Bk ] which focused on the creation of Detroit techno music. Other film credits include being involved in the highly acclaimed 'We Call it Techno' [ https://www.discogs.com/Various-We-Call-It-Techno/release/1388974   //   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TWPFrWojYQ4 ] documentary which focused on Germany's early techno scene and club culture. 

Without using the usual hype for trends, he has managed to gain a position as multi-communicator in the German Techno and House scene, in which he is always convincing as a DJ.
