Nous recevons Marion Gabbai, qui est entre autres la programmatrice du festival Levitation. Initié à Austin en 2008, berceau du mouvement psyché des années 60, il s'est rapidement élevé au rang de référence mondiale. En 2011, cette flamme s'est propagée jusqu'à Angers, marquant la naissance de Levitation France, fruit d'un jumelage heureux entre les deux villes. Depuis, chaque édition, vibrant au son de la musique psychédélique, a fait danser des milliers de festivaliers, façonnant ainsi une solide réputation à l'échelle nationale et européenne. Avec son évolution constante, passant des murs du Chabada aux grands espaces extérieurs, le festival s'est imposé comme un rendez-vous incontournable du printemps. Marion vous invite à plonger dans l'univers de la onzième édition du festival qui se déroulera les 24 et 25 mai.

Levitation 2024

Pour notre dernière émission de la saison, en partenariat avec Radio 666 et radio RCF, nous avons rencontré Arnaud Fournier et Hervé Thomas lors du festival Levitation. Ce duo est à l’origine de Hint, un groupe originaire d’Angers formé en 1993. Hint se distingue par son mélange unique de rock alternatif, de noise et de musique expérimentale. Leur musique avant-gardiste combine rythmiques industrielles, guitares dissonantes, saxophones hurlants et bruitages angoissants avec des ambiances aériennes et cinématographiques.

Hint a sorti quatre albums en six ans : « 100% White Puzzle » (1995), « Product Topology » (1996), « Dys » (1996) et « Wu-Wei » (1998). Ils ont également collaboré avec les Portobello Bones et Unsane. En 1999, le groupe se met en sommeil, mais continue de se produire sporadiquement en concert.

En 2006, ils composent une bande son pour le roman "La Cité Nymphale". En 2009, ils collaborent avec Ez3kiel pour une tournée documentée dans l'album **Collision Tour**. En 2013, le label Kshantu réédite leurs albums en vinyle, et le duo reprend la route pour une série de concerts.

Malgré une carrière discographique brève, Hint reste une influence majeure sur la scène musicale indé française.

Après avoir passé plusieurs années à travailler en production médiatique, Pauline Boisbouvier s’est associée avec le fondateur de Magasin Général Média, Patrick Fauquembergue, pour lancer HINT en 2023. Cette start-up, incubée chez Zú, a pour but soutenir des créateurs de contenu en amont de leur travail d’écriture, et ce via l’intelligence artificielle. Notre journaliste Sophie Bernard a discuté avec Pauline Boisbouvier, pour en savoir plus sur le fonctionnement de l’entreprise.

« Notre but n’est pas de développer un outil d’IA générative, mais plutôt un outil qui va poser les bonnes questions, précise la cofondatrice de HINT. Nous nous adressons plus largement à l’industrie médiatique. Nous voyons des affinités avec des industries connexes comme le marketing ou encore les créateurs de contenu sur les plateformes sociales. »
