A handful of directors defined cinema of the 1970s and early 1980s-- among them Steven Spielberg, George Lucas, Martin Scorsese, and Francis Ford Coppola. Unlike them, Brian DePalma charted his own course with a string of unique, genre-bending films that set the DePalma style mixing sexuality, humor and violence. In his book THE DEPALMA DECADE: REDEFINING CINEMA WITH DOUBLES, VOYEURS AND PSYCHIC TEENS, award-winning filmmaker and author (and our sole guest) Laurent Bouzereau focuses on seven of the director's titles: SISTERS, PHANTOM OF THE PARADISE, OBSESSION, CARRIE, THE FURY, DRESSED TO KILL and BLOW OUT.

THIS WEEK'S SHOW: 'Tis the (scary) season!

LITTLE BITES follows a young widow and mother, who desperately tries to protect her daughter from the grips of a fiendish, flesh-eating monster. The mother has been secretly sacrificing her own life by allowing the creature to slowly feast on her body as she keeps her daughter hidden away at her grandmother's home. Yum! We connect with writer/director Spider One & lead actor Krsy Fox.

This past year, we marked the 50th anniversary of the passing of Noël Coward, so it seems the right moment to look back at his extraordinary life. The documentary MAD ABOUT THE BOY: THE NOËL COWARD STORY explores the life and career of the British writer/actor/composer and wit across the stage and screen, and his hidden sexuality. From London, we're joined by writer/director Barnaby Thompson.

Halloween night, 1977: the host of a live, late night TV talk show struggling for ratings brings on some guests connected to the supernatural, including a young girl who may be possessed. What could go wrong? It's LATE NIGHT WITH THE DEVIL-- new to Blu-ray!-- and we're joined by the show's lead actor (and horror fan) David Dastmalchian!

Ichabod’s investigative ways are put to the test when his superiors send him to the small village of Sleepy Hollow to probe a string of murders, allegedly committed by a HEADLESS HORSEMAN! 2024 marks the 25th anniversary of the film, so, we dust off our sit-down with actor Johnny Depp!  

KNEECAP is the real-life story of three directionless young men from West Belfast who form a rap group (dubbed KNEECAP) and become unlikely figureheads for the civil rights movement to save the Irish language. In this fiercely original sex, drugs and hip-hop biopic, KNEECAP play themselves, laying down a global rallying cry for the defense of native cultures. We sit down with rappers/actors Móglaí Bap (Naoise) & DJ "JJ" Próvai and director Rich Peppiatt.

In the retro-teen comedy-with-horror Y2K, two nobodies crash a big NYE party and... things don't go the way they did in reality! From 2020: Based on Peter Carey's novel, the almost-assuredly-true tale of one of Australia's most notorious figures is spun in TRUE HISTORY OF THE KELLY GANG, a fictionalized account of the famed 19th century Australian Bush Ranger/bandit Ned Kelly.
