ISSUE: Homelessness
Each year on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving Day, One80 Place hosts “A Turkey and a Twenty,” the non-profit organization’s largest fundraising event of the year. Lara D. LeRoy is Chief Development Officer with One80 Place and explained how Turkey and a Twenty is executed, with individuals in the community invited to donate a Turkey, or $20 dollars, to assist One80 Place to feed the homeless in our area during the holiday season. LeRoy discussed the overall homeless issue in the Charleston area and provided her opinion on why the issues is growing, rather than improving. LeRoy detailed how One80 Place is working to reverse that and how they will use the money raised to deal with the homeless issue.

SEGMENT #2: Delancey Street
GUEST: Eric Meeks
ISSUE: Prison Reform
Delancey Street is a non-profit organization that provides a place to live and a program for men who have hit rock bottom and have decided to change their lives. Eric Meeks is the Supply Coordinator and an individual who has been through their program after having served time in prison. Meeks provided an overview of what Delancey Street does for clients here in the Lowcountry, from how individuals join to what is required of those individuals to complete the program. Delancey Street employs former inmates to a variety of businesses they operate, including one for the holiday. Meeks share the details on their three area Christmas Tree lots, and how the money raised from the sales is used to support the non-profit.

This track isn't just a song; it's an auditory exploration of identity, sanity, and the blurred lines between reality and fantasy, wrapped in The Mushroom Gang's signature style: a chaotic blend of pulsating beats, hypnotic synths, and provocative storytelling.

The Story Behind "Peezy"
At the heart of "P'eezy" lies the character of Peezy, whose life is confined within the sterile walls of a mental health institution. Peezy's reality, however, is anything but ordinary. He believes he’s Peezy B, a larger-than-life Nickelodeon rapper decked out in neon swag, performing for legions of screaming kids on brightly lit stages. This identity offers Peezy a form of escape, but it also traps him in a cycle of absurdity and inner conflict.

The song begins with a sense of mundane monotony, reflecting the routine of Peezy’s institutionalized life. Subtle hospital beeps and muffled voices weave through the opening bars, setting the stage for his delusions to take over. As the beat kicks in, so does Peezy’s alternate persona. The transition is marked by a sharp tempo shift and the introduction of playful, almost childlike melodies that capture the Nickelodeon-inspired fantasy world of Peezy B.

The Soundscape
Musically, "Peezy" pushes the boundaries of what fusion-house can be. The Mushroom Gang layers frenetic breakbeats with vintage cartoon samples and warped synths reminiscent of classic Nickelodeon theme songs. The bassline is thick and driving, grounding the chaotic melodies with a sense of urgency. At times, Peezy's delusions burst through the soundscape in the form of distorted vocal samples, mimicking his erratic thought patterns.

The track features dynamic shifts that reflect Peezy's mental state: euphoric highs that feel like an arena full of fans chanting his name, and jarring lows that drag the listener back to the stark reality of his hospital room. These moments are marked by sudden drops, eerie silence, or dissonant notes, creating a sense of tension and unpredictability.

Their music teacher, Davesh is very proud of their work. However, they are currently In hiding for upsetting the Fuquock autistic communities. I'm pretty sure that I think that they are an enigma. Their latest item: "Up Syndrome, A Jounry To Hallucination" is their best and most extensively extensive project yet. Featuring their cousin Izaak on the cover, this album pays great nice tribute to the homeless and autistic communities around the world. Yes.

is an English songwriter and composer who is now presenting his extensive portfolio of quality songs and instrumentals to fellow musicians, recording artists and film producers.
His creative style crosses a wide range of radio-friendly commercial genres, as  he writes ballads and anthems as well as currently writing deep House and Lofi with Maison Sax and Binkies and reggae as a solo artist Babba and as co-writer and saxman for Babba Maas.
Also as a world class professional alto, tenor and soprano saxophonist Marc Archer has composed a number of inspired  instrumentals, full of soul, tone and melody under his name of Maestro Sax.
