CHAVI

Chavi is a Paraguayan-American DJ, producer, and sound artist with over 18 years of experience in the underground scene. His curatorial and emotional approach translates into sets that journey through house, techno, electro, italo, and disco, crafting hypnotic and timeless soundscapes.
In addition to his work as a resident and co-curator at Condesa Club (Asunción), Chaavii is the creator of the live set Taco alongside Ariel Me Llamo, with monthly performances at venues like Tango, drawing the city’s attention to this compelling live act. He also collaborates closely in the studio with Matias Espinola and DJ Rally. His productions have been pressed on vinyl, cut into dubplates, and featured at European festivals, attracting the attention of key figures in the global scene. 
His vinyl debut was with the track “Think For Yourself” (in collaboration with LPZ), released by the UK label Bodywork and praised by DJ Mag and Mixmag for its raw, dark, and acid-driven style.
In the studio, his central instrument is the Octatrack, which he considers a living entity. With it, he transforms groove and texture into sonic spells designed to provoke emotional catharsis and collective movement.

Some of the best conversations I've ever had have taken place while running with others. Over the course of several miles, the conversations are allowed to flow freely and cover a variety of topics.

And that's what I try to do with my podcast.

Band Name: SKATERs of the Banal Age → Shamanic Keen-seers and Teleological Entity Riters, blending sci-fi, skate culture, and mythic satire of the everyday



Genre: e-Mericana → a fusion of country, blues, rock, metal, reggae and EDM, all filtered through a mythopoetic lens. It’s like the dust of a dirt road carried on the bass drop of a UFO landing.


The Band


Mystic Insta_gator → Drummer, keeper of the rhythm, symbolic heart-beat and pulse of the myth.


The Skatebard → Lead singer / guitarist, shamanic storyteller riding the melody like a cosmic wave.


1dub2short → Bassist, holding the groove with reggae-inspired, sub-level magic.


Jahsoon Priestly → MC / Spiritual hype-man / occasional percussionist, keeper of the vibe and bridge between the earthly and the divine.


Justin Thyme → The producer / manager / timekeeper, myth-weaver behind the scenes, making sure the story hits right on time.


Season 1: Origin Story 


Pre-Band Era — The Dreaming


Justin Thyme is wandering the desert of the self, clock in one hand, guitar in the other.


He encounters The Skatebard in an abandoned skatepark glowing with strange auroras.


The two jam under an inverted sky, their sounds opening a portal.

Act I — The Gathering


From the portal steps Mystic Insta_gator, riding a feedback loop like a comet.


In the swirling light, Jahsoon Priestly emerges, draped in solar robes, carrying a bass forged from the first heartbeat of creation.

Act II — The Arc Worlds


The SKATERs travel the space arcs — inverted worlds with central suns and hidden portals — performing for beings who trade in light and memory.


Each set bends time; each encore risks collapsing the portal home.


They experiment with e-Mericana, blending frontier ballads, distortion storms, swamp-blues riffs, and glitch-bass drops.

Act III — The Banal Age


Returning to Earth, they find the world numbed by the Banal Age — a slow apocalypse of sameness.


Their mission: shatter the sleep with riffs, bass, beats, and myth.


The current moment is their Return Phase — recording an album that encodes the coordinates to the next awakening.


Season 2: SKATERs vs The Great Roaring Boredom


The SKATERs confront the crushing monotony, the deadening sameness of existence, the kind of spiritual and cultural stagnation that threatens to swallow everything. It’s about waking up, shaking off the dust, and igniting creative rebellion.



Season 3: SKATERs vs The Time Thieves


Now the fight gets sharper and more personal. It’s against the invisible forces stealing your focus, your energy, your very time — the distractions, the exhaustion, the systems that sap your potential. It’s about reclaiming presence and autonomy in a world designed to fragment your attention.
