Like the morning sun penetrating a Winter sky, a shimmering frost flecks the brightness of “Message to Nowhere”. 

The four tracker showcases the sound of Ruben Benabou’s Hyperstellar nom de plume, a sound that draws inspiration from sci-fi soundtracks and the warmer currents of electro. Refracted bleeps introduce the title piece, shorn beats cutting through glowing synthlines as the EP takes flight. Tight terse drum patterns are the launchpad from which melodies sail and swoop in “Words in a Void”, bittersweet strings and warbling pads bending and shifting above juddering basslines. Fellow Frenchman, and all-round electro virtuoso, The Hacker remixes “Message to Nowhere”. Pulling the track toward the centre of the floor, scissoring snares slice through echoing notes and silken shrouds in this machine funk remake. 

Temperatures rise for the close. Bold key changes and snapping rhythms gather in “A Thousand Nights”, a lively late evening close to a quartet of sheer quality.

PREMIERE: Hyperstellar - Message To Nowhere (The Hacker Remix)

DJ, Italian living in Brazil and passionate about House and Techno since the early 90s. Originally from Bologna, now living in São Paulo Capital, he started in Italy in the late 80s after starting at school parties and increasing his practice in private events and for non-profit organizations. His House and Techno influences were improved by attending reference clubs in Italy, Matis in Bologna and Cocoricò Riccione, crossing to other smaller clubs and accompanying DJs of the time who made stories such as, Ricci Dj (in memory), Cirillo, Saccoman, Gianni Parrini, Ivo Morini, Billi Dj and entourage from Dance Floor Corporation (DFC) and obviously a fan of internationally famous DJs, Carl Cox, Lenny Dee, David Morales. Always passionate about the Bonzai Records label today, he performs at parties and clubs, bringing musical styles from the dance era, interacting with new Indie Dance, Techno, Melodic House & Techno sounds. During the pandemic, he started performing in Lives on the Twitch platform, setting up his own PayBDJ channel on the platform. Today the author of some Mashup ’s / Bootleg ’s, he is part of some collectives here in São Paulo and Italy, performing at events and clubs.

Hyperstellar is a French composer, producer, film score composer, and DJ based in Paris. His music is released on labels such as International Deejay Gigolo Records, Zone, Bordello A Parigi, and K7!. He also composes for Hans Zimmer’s Bleeding Fingers Music, fashion houses, and international campaigns.
