The soundtrack to a deepening twilight. All that remains of the day is a hint of glowing indigo behind the distant mountains that secure this dancefloor in the warm flowing veins of the valley.

Volume 08 of IWANA is a dark, daring, delectable flavour of hardened bush techno and progressive tones, fitted for those whose eyes stay wide when the moon rises.

IWANA - The Arawakan indigenous word for Iguana. The IWANA series illustrates this powerful exotic specimen of the animal world, the most evolute of which, shift their colours according to mood.

Decided to go a bit harder and darker this time, starting with some hypnotic techno, through psychedelic techno and a bit of techno/psytech mashup, before blasting up to 140 bpm with some raw primal techno! In LOUKIA's words: "My intention for this set was to traverse the diversity and colour of the human experience while encouraging the listener to embrace many different shades of emotion and states of being.  Playfulness and joy were strong themes that came through for me in crafting this journey. I also wished to hold the space for exploration through deeper realms with a sense of warmth and safety - bringing light and meaning forth from shadowy areas, and selecting earthy rhythms and organic touches for a sense of grounding and being held by nature." Loukia creates journeys of alchemy curated to bring the listener home to their soul resonance. Her mystical soundscapes are deep, hypnotic and earthy with atmospheric and organic psychedelic elements, inspired by the rhythms and frequencies of nature.  Sensual and innovative, she incorporates elements of psy-techno, bush and dark progressive, while drawing on inspiration from a variety of other genres - creating a heart-centred experience infused with entrancing dark feminine flavour.  The weaving of deep, grounding basslines with ethereal sound design and organic ambient elements holds an intimate container for journeying through emotional diversity, exploring the light within shadow, and connecting with the profound beauty of the human experience.

EEGOR
Richard Blacker aka EEGOR has held a passion for music since he was just 6 years old. From receiving classical training on the Violin, Viola, Guitar and Bass Guitar as well as studying music theory for 4 years in his primary school days, music has flowed through Richie’s mind, body and soul.
With more than two and a half decades experience as a DJ and working on his own productions since 2007 with a string of releases worldwide, Eegor has established himself a solid reputation in Australia and abroad for his take on deep driving progressive techno. Whether it be day or night, at a Festival or in a Nightclub, Richie has always curated his DJ sets and productions to compliment the environment that surrounds him at the time.
Throughout his career Eegor has represented Open Records(Australia), Bus Records(France) and is currently a label DJ and producer for  Iboga Tech Records(Denmark).
Eegor has taken the stage numerous times at iconic Australian festivals such as Rainbow Serpent,Elements Festival,Dragon Dreaming and Earth Frequency as well as appearances abroad at Paradise Festival(Austria) and Megaclub appearances at the ‘Pratersauna’(Vienna, Austria), ‘Le Skandalo’(Bordeaux, France) and ‘Elevate’(India) just to name a few.
His current project ‘Eegor & Zark’ has scored some solid releases on IbogaTech, Digital Structures, Stone Seed (aka Bassic Records), Alpaka Muzic, and Anarkick Records thus far with many more big releases to come in the not too distant future...
