Illyus & Barrientos have been a firm staple of the Toolroom Family for many years. The Scottish House music maestros have penned some absolute cult-classics on the label including ‘Shout’, ‘The Promise’ and ‘So Serious’ that sits on an impressive 10m streams. Their club heater ‘D.A.N.C.E’ dropped in the Summer of ’24 and saw some incredible DJ support from MK, James Hype, John Summit, Chris Lake and loads more, cementing them back on the club circuit in a big way!

This new offering takes a "Housier" route and digs more into the roots of Illyus & Barrientos with that seriously funky bassline, lush organ licks and some tribal vocals to boot. It was a great weekend of vibes, goofyness, relaxation, fires, and friends. From the Tye Dye shirt workshop, to the set where there were visuals being created in real time consisting of a robot world, with a campfire. It stormed, we partied, danced and enjoyed to the fullest - what a weekend.

ELLIOT, born in Barcelona, is an emerging DJ between Barcelona and Girona who has been playing multiple genres within electronic music since 2016. In his career he has performed in renowned clubs in the city such as City Hall, Pacha, M7 and Macarena Club, among others.

Currently, his sets can combine from the purest and freshest House to the most powerful and dark Tech House dosed with Electro and Bass, but ultimately are the groovy sounds which he is most identified with.

It is because ELLIOT adopts his first name as his artistic name to bring his very own essence and passion for music to the booth, which he undoubtedly delivers to the crowd through his technical skills and versatility on the decks, allowing him to connect with the dancefloor from the very first minute.

Having opened for Mark Knight, Tough Love, Leftwing : Kody, Seth Troxler, Danny has since joined the #ToolroomFamily performing at their London residencies at Ministry Of Sound & Studio 338 in which the label is predicting big things for Danny Rhys.

I started in 1998 with two Stanton Str8-80 turntables and have enjoyed watching the entire scene change over the years. I've played on various Pioneer setups for upwards of 500 people, varying between clubs, bars, events and house parties.

Shawn Kiehl is DJ Butter behind the decks. In front of the decks you'd catch him cutting shapes late into the night. You could say on the dancefloor he was smooth as.... ya know... BUTTER! 

Before slidin' on into Minneapolis, late nights in the local Fargo dance music scene would later influence Shawn to take his next step in his journey with music through life. After moving to Minneapolis, he sought for a similar scene, people, and music. He plunged head first into all flavors of dance music, but nothing has hooked him quite like the 4 on the floor sounds of house music. 

It's about the people. The music comes second. Then its the feeling..... The way it can take you and make you just want to move...... and everyone on the floor has their own groove.

Drawing inspiration from a variety of House Music giants near and far, Some of his favorite locals include, Larry Peace, and Chuck Love - and of course legends like David Penn, Green Velvet, Purple Disco Machine, and Riva Starr. 
You could use the words "Feel Good" "Thumping" or "Disco Inferno" to describe the style, intensity, and vibe of a DJ Butter set.  

DJ Butter has played for Groove Cruise, Key Elements Ent., Rhyze Ent., and a variety of other local shows and livestreams.

Aside from setting a vibe on a dancefloor, DJ Butter's favorite place to spin is with homies, or smaller groups.
