Pergamus was the compromising church. The message we get as we read Jesus’ letter to this church is:

“Jezebel” was teaching in Thyatira that sexual immorality was okay for Christians. Jesus had harsh words against that in this letter, and this is just what many are demanding today: that we accept their immoral, un-Biblical behavior just as it is, in the church, and not only tolerate it, but also approve of it, and consider them to be Christians in good standing. This is exactly what Jesus says here we must never do in His church, or we will become exactly the kind of “Jezebel” that He is calling out here. Allowing blatant, un-Biblical immorality and teaching in the church, is wrong. 
 Tolerating in the church what God has prohibited is NOT a virtue!

Repentance.
You are being tried to see if anything can cause you to fall away from the Kingdom of God.

This passage is a sobering reminder that when people persist in sin, they inevitably invite divine judgment. The sins that plagued Judah are the same sins that permeate societies today—unchecked greed that leads to oppression, unrestrained pleasure-seeking that blinds people to the truth, and the distortion of morality that justifies evil. Yet, amid judgment, God’s heart still longs for repentance. This sermon will explore Isaiah’s three key denunciations: the woe of corrupt possession (injustice), the woe of carnal pleasure (indulgence), and the woe of corrupt principles (immorality). This passage reveals the timeless truth: a nation that rejects God’s righteousness will ultimately reap the consequences of its rebellion. However, God’s grace remains the only refuge from impending judgment for those who turn from sin.
