There is a clear and urgent need to accelerate the implementation of sustainability solutions. We must move beyond simple conceptual understanding of solutions, instead experimenting with collaborators in contexts in order to improve effectiveness, share learnings with others, and avoid future mistakes that waste time. 

In this episode, we discuss nature-based solutions as a holistic approach addressing the why, what, who, and how to achieve sustainability through integrating nature in cities. PhD Student Björn Wickenberg shares his latest research on implementing nature-based solutions, including his three strategies for urban planners. Finally, we discuss skills – collaboration, experimentation, evaluation, and learning – in order to support implementation in the right configurations in the right context, as well as to minimize any rebound effects.

The work and contribution of national committees on IHL (NCIHLs) can be relevant in a range of circumstances, whether a country is at peace, emerging from conflict, still affected by past conflict or involved in one or more current armed conflicts. Many successful national structures are proof that if they function efficiently and have the required capacities, NCIHLs can provide considerable support to states in implementing their commitments under international humanitarian law (IHL) and achieving policy objectives in this area.

The roads to national implementation of IHL can vary, creating new opportunities through events that arise, and actors encountered along the way. In this post, Yasmin Bedir, ICRC Communications Officer for the Gulf Cooperation Council Countries, provides a recap of the Twelfth Regional Meeting of Arab National Committees on IHL. The meeting, run with contributions from Dr Omar Mekky, Regional Legal Coordinator for the Near and Middle East Region at the ICRC, resulted in a dynamic two-year action plan with pledged commitments on specific themes and obligations for the implementation of IHL.

Susanna is a medical doctor who graduated from the University of Milan. Her main interests are in how social adversities and/or how conditions affect children in the short and long term, especially in migration contexts. Following this interest, she has written her final degree thesis on age assessment in unaccompanied minors under the supervision of Professor Cristina Cattaneo of the Institute of Legal Medicine of Milan.

The method of human body rehabilitation is in exposure of an individual to a sound, at that, this exposure is performed simultaneously, right and left, to each ear by nine coupled frequencies with shift between the couples composing 3 Hz. On the one side of the individual, on his right, he is receiving the influence of nine harmonious pitch frequencies 174 Hz, 285 Hz, 396 Hz, 417 Hz, 528 Hz, 639 Hz, 741 Hz, 852 Hz and 963 Hz, on the other side of the individual, on his left, he is receiving other nine frequencies with the values shift of 3 Hz relating to the harmonious pitch 177 Hz, 288 Hz, 399 Hz, 420 Hz, 531 Hz, 642Hz, 744 Hz, 855Hz and 966 Hz.

The sound exposure is held in the scan mode by searching all the frequencies from the lowest to the highest values during 7-9 minutes.
The harmonious pitch sounds are produced simultaneously with coupled sounds and the rhythm of brain pulsation is lowered down to values of delta rhythm 2, 5-3,5Hz. Below, you can listen to the records of 7 sounds corresponding to chakras and recorded with the shift of 3 Hz.

! It is advised to listen to the sounds via stereo headphones or a good acoustic system!
You can play the records from the lower to the higher frequency and vice versa. Pay attention to the frequency, which will seem to you uncomfortable. Try to play it more often than the others until the discomfort feeling disappears. ATTENTION! BINAURAL RHYTHMS 3 HZ. It is not advisable to listen to these sounds during more than 10 minutes per day.
