Вчера по мне пробежался слон и гиппопотам.

Вот сижу у Невы, пью свой  капучино,
Смотрю, как врезается петропавловский шпиль в синее, бездонное небо.
И волны набегают на берег и чайки кричат так красиво,
Словно желают хорошего дня, жаль, для них у меня нет хлеба.

И вокруг ни души, только солнце набирает свою высоту,
Мне бы бросить, но я снова затягиваюсь и курю, курю...
Строчки плывут в голове, разные... хорошие и дурные,
Думаю, мы с тобой не родные, но и уже не совсем чужие.


Мы как два берега одной реки,  
Вдали друг от друга, но всё же близки.  
Ты — мой незаконченный стих,  
Непознанный свет в мире тёмных орбит.


Я бы дал тебе знать, как мне холодно по утрам,  
Как пеплом и ветром заполняю пустой стакан.  
Просто знаешь, порой это странное чувство
Оставляет меня между светом и тьмой на краю.
И слова, что тебе не сказал, обретают весомость,

Петербург рассыпает мне свет через зыбкий туман,

Два берега

This introspective song explores the themes of memory, nostalgia, and the passage of time. Through vivid imagery, it captures the tension between lingering past experiences and the desire to embrace the future, ultimately reflecting a longing for understanding and new beginnings.

Things We've Left Behind

The drums are the EMU Classic Keys and a Boss DR-660. Most of the crazy synth layering was done with a Yamaha SY-22 and the Classic Keys, along with a little Sequential Circuits Prophet X. 
I also used an ARP Solina for that single long background note that plays throughout the entire song.

John Covert formed the Crystal Image band and crystal image music BMI in 1968.      He has  had a great deal of success in sync licencing for film,  ads and tv shows so this soudcloud playlist is devoted to samples of his "one stop" song catalogue which contains over 2000 songs of various genres.   All songs are completely cleared and controlled by Covert and all needed metadata, moods, stems, instrumentals, breakdowns, lyrics, masters and other information needed for sync are available.
