The release begins with "Just Phasing" from sHiFt (Chris Hoy/South Africa), a legend who delivers a deliciously groovy beast to initiate the journey. Saibot (Arel Bank/ Israel) takes us into the cosmos with his "Black Night Satellite" - a haunting story of how less is more - a lesson learned deep in the void. And here in the void, a spark can be everything you need as is evident with "Dissipate" from mastermind ReFractor (Luan Boes/ South Africa). Deep, moody and waiting to be unleashed on an unexpecting dancefloor.

Once the animals are out - expect them to play. "Vision Seeker 23" from Psyphoria (Don de Valle/Australia) thrills with panned lazers and cheeky breaks but listeners are warned - this beast packs quite a bite. Pushing the limits to manic levels is ‘Exordium’ from Hypometric (Pie Berger/United Kingdom), the sonic embodiment of a raging octopus! A store drenched in acid leads, one of the more frightful delights found in the realm of the Lysergic Animals. Here we find SKP (Peter Strachan) helps center listeners with "Existent" - a potent expression of the twilight magic that infuses the sonic realm we explore. The Mayans use the word Akbal to describe people who get things done, who rise to the occasion, who put in the blood, sweat and tears to help lead the way forward. It was with this idea and a single minded focus that our sonic hackers were able to craft two dancefloor bombs! 

‘Akbal Ho’ is mean to the bone, with enough power and acid laced leads to give the dancefloor a jumpstart like no other! Setting the tone of what is to come, “Feel Strong” is a deliciously fat tune - with a bass so huge, it can only be listened to safely on dancefloors where foot tapping quickly becomes foot stomping! A snippet of the sound and style we can expect Inside Brain to continue to perfect in the future. You have been warned!

In 2010, Paulo Etnarama was inspired to support fresh up and coming psytrance producers acts in twilight psytrance, and thus Phonix Records was born in London. Later that year he found his partner in crime - Ishikawa, a fellow traveler in the cosmos who shared the same vision. Together they worked tirelessly with the aim of providing sonic scientists and wizards the means to be heard by audiences galaxy wide.

Fast-forward 3 years to 2013, Etnarama goes on sabbatical and Ishikawa takes the reigns to manage the label. Since then - Phonix Records has now branched from its home in the UK with representation across USA, Portugal, and South Africa. Over 15 years and over 50 releases, they have released fresh releases featuring all the flavors of the twilight spectrum. Today they proudly support an ever-growing roster of new and established producers from across the globe including France, South Africa, Mexico, Portugal and Canada.

Focusing completely on the music for the twilight hours, Phonix Records has constantly been pushing to release nothing but the very best in super powered, hyper charged, 100% unadulterated twilight psytrance!
