Ecliptic(INTRO - 'First Draft' 20/10/2013)

Recorded in the early summer of 2001. Newly recovered from a CD burned on the 14th July that year. No sequencers, just two interlocking keyboard parts, percussive bass, and a melody line. 

Dragon Hill is a large flat-topped mound at the foot of Uffington Castle in Oxfordshire - a prehistoric hillfort of enormous size, dating to the Bronze age.  The first time I visited, another tourist recognised that the hill was a natural stage, and began to sing and perform Village People's 'YMCA' to a non-existent audience.

This is a crisper version of the original (recorded as a MIDI instruction set), with different instrumental sounds, realised a couple of months later. It seems to have been recorded to tape in the first instance, long after I thought I'd stopped doing that.

You might have some questions about what this stuff is. If I had to put Hitchcock Dances in a box, it would be an odd shape: industrial soundscapes, structured ambience, experimentation, and wordless songs cover most of it.
