Single layer, single oscillator, just 2 notes 2 octaves apart latched.

The oscillator is set to kernels type with 2 carriers, both using wavetables. It uses the komplex modulator with curve A being 8 steps set to major scale pitch offsets, curve B is 8 steps of 0. It uses one LFO as saw down to shape the sound into individual note triggers, one set to pulse to control the blend between komplex modulator curves, another set to pulse to pitch the notes up/down by a fixed amount, and the remaining 3 are s&h LFOs randomizing the length of the notes, the speeds of the pulse LFOs, wavetable position, delay times etc. All the LFOs are synced to tempo. Leafblighter - Milieu (The Preposterist Remix)

This is a cover of the TWO LANES song "Reflections" that I recorded with the Waldorf Iridium Core synthesizer. I processed the vocals with a Roland VP-03 vocoder and used samples for most of the drums; all other sounds are from the Iridium. The Iridium Core uses the same synth engine as the Waldorf Quantum.

Hi, I'm Paul. These waldorf quantum/iridium patches explore all aspects of the sound engines on offer, especially the more unusual areas, rather than being a "best of".   Explanatory notes are attached in the descriptions for each track.

I've decided to release all the music here as free downloads. The Lunar Asylum is a loose accumulation of musicians that have been playing together for the last 50 years. Almost all of our music is completely improvised. All communication is telepathic by nature. We seldom crawl out in public.
