I feel like Izzy had a lot of regret about the way that the duel at the end of 1x06 turned out, and the way he'd interacted with Stede & his crew in general, even the way he interacted with Ed, kinda giving into his whim to meet & get to know Stede. I feel like Izzy process regret by projecting anger, though. So this song might not seem overtly about regret, but it's very much him feeling regret about the way things went down and then just cursing about Stede lol. Image credit to the OFMD Fandom wiki.
