CHINATOWN FREESTYLE (ft. richinsoul, FucknSicko) [prod. whod]

Nach 2,5 Jahren Trainingslager setzen wir endlich per Drittschlag unsere große Jackie Chan Retrospektive fort. Diesmal geht es in die glanzvollen 90er Jahre, in denen sich Jackie auf dem absoluten Peak seiner Schaffenskraft befand.

Da die Plauderrunde regelrecht ausgeartet ist und es zu einer Überlänge von epischem Ausmaß kam, haben wir unsere dritte Jackie-Folge in zwei Hälften aufgeteilt. In der ersten Hälfte plaudern Florian, Tom und Tobi über die JC-Filme der frühen 90er Jahre. Dabei werden nicht nur die großen Klassiker MISSION: ADLER - DER STARKE ARM DER GÖTTER (1991) und POLICE STORY III: SUPERCOP (1992) in den Mittelpunkt gerückt, sondern eben auch die weniger bekannten und komödiantischen Titel THE PRISONER: ISLAND OF FIRE (1990) und CITY HUNTER (1993) auf deren Schlagkraft überprüft. Ihr seht schon es ist für mächtig Action gesorgt, also drückt auf Play und begleitet gemeinsam mit uns Jackies Weg vom Meister aller Klassen zum Hollywood-Star.

In der zweiten Hälfte unseres Jackie Chan Drittschlags holen wir uns mit dem Martial Artist, Action-Choreograph und Top-Stuntman Andy Long Nguyen (ACCIDENT MAN – HITMAN´S HOLIDY, 2022) fachkundige und höchst sympathische Verstärkung ins Team. Gemeinsam mit Florian, Tom und Tobi plaudern die vier Lucky Stars über Jackie´s endgültigen Durchbruch in Hollywood. Dabei bekommen es die Jungs mit echten Krachern wie DRUNKEN MASTER II (1994), RUMBLE IN THE BRONX (1995), NOBODY – WHO AM I (1998) und RUSH HOUR (1998) zu tun. Zudem werden auch wieder etwas weniger bekannte Produktionen wie THUNDERBOLT (1995) oder UNDER CONTROL (1999) unter die Lupe genommen. Somit ist wieder für mächtig Action gesorgt, also schnallt euch an und reist mit uns in die glanzvollen 90er Jahre, wo Jackie vom Meister aller Klassen zum Hollywood-Star wurde.

From 2002: A chauffeur is sent to retrieve some items when his millionaire boss is hospitalized from an accident. But when he tries on his man's prized tuxedo, he discovers the suit contains some fantastic gadgets and abilities and finds himself caught up in international intrigue and espionage. THE TUXEDO is the movie and its star: actor and martial arts icon Jackie Chan-- now on screens in KARATE KID: LEGENDS-- who discusses his school training, singing and dancing for James Brown, being not Bruce Lee, the hole in his head, and how he fortuitously avoided being caught in the 9/11 attack.
