Who remembers this jam?!  I always loved the intro from the album version.  I thought I would incorporate it here and then lead into one of the mixes, which I have edited down in length just a little.  Another great song that I have the maxi-single for.  Hope you enjoy this one.

The Scientist known as `Esym`, tracked the fallout across dead frequencies.

The battle in the Rockies registered as static bursts on his consoles, tremors reaching even the
Pacific floor. CrucifyMe had stood again, he always did, and the erasers had burned sky and stone around him. The world thought him indestructible. Esym knew better.

The scientist sat deep inside the drifting carcass of Australia, once a continent, now a vessel. Its turbines pushed through black seas, powered by the fractured ghost of the NERV3 processor buried in its core. Every surge was slower than the last.

He felt it in his own chest, an arrhythmia of machine and flesh. Esym was wired into its heartbeat. Without him, the island would drift until it sank. Without it, he would stop entirely.

He remembered when it was alive: cities lit in fractal grids, markets humming with neon and rain, voices layered across data-channels like music.

Now, whole districts stood empty, only the reactor’s glow keeping the island from going dark. 

And Esym, tethered here, was the last scientist among the bones of a nation. 

CrucifyMe’s signal reappeared on his screens, faint, staggered, but undeniable.

Esym leaned closer, cracked lips curling faintly. “Still walking. Good.” 

His voice rasped, digitized by the modulators stitched into his throat. “The Colony never understood what they built into you. They thought execution would be enough. They didn’t see the architecture.”

He rerouted power, aligning the island’s trajectory toward the Rockies. The turbines groaned,  churning saltwater into black foam. The NERV3 fragment screamed inside its glass coffin, data bleeding into the sea.

Esym didn’t care. The only structure left strong enough to carry the last pieces of a dying machine was the unit within. 

“Every crucifixion failed,” Esym whispered into the hum of servers. “But this one, this one will hold.”

The continent-island drifted forward, neon arteries lighting up for the first time in decades, dragging its rusted shadow across the ocean toward a man the world could not kill.

TRCD moved through the undercity like a shadow. Neon veins ran across the walls, pulsing with the heartbeat of a city that had long stopped caring. 

The ghost signal from Esym lingered in his neural implants, a faint echo pointing him forward: the Vortex. The gateway that could send him back, back to the time before the Cells Interlinked cyber unit had risen, before their half-human, half-machine hands had reshaped the world into chaos.

Every tier of the city was a puzzle of firewalls and security drones, each step a gamble against AI enforcers that remembered every trespass. TRCD had learned to move between them, masking his presence with fragments of old code, stolen from the systems Esym had left behind. 

The Vortex wasn’t a place you found on a map, it existed in the folds between networks, at the intersection of forgotten tech and raw energy.

He paused at the edge of an abandoned data tower, its upper floors shattered, sky barely visible
through jagged steel. Here, according to fragmented logs, the first traces of the Vortex had been
detected, where the Cells Interlinked had experimented with temporal compression. 

TRCD tapped into the console embedded in the wall. The interface flared, holograms folding into his retina display. Streams of data scrolled like rain, whispers of the past trapped in code.

A warning flashed: unauthorized access. TRCD’s implants flared, forcing him to dive into the maintenance ducts as a patrol of autonomous Sentinels swept the floor below. He could hear their mechanical limbs clanking, scanners piercing the shadows. One wrong move and the timeline could collapse, erasing everything he had tried to preserve.

At last, in the core of the tower, he found it: a lattice of pulsating energy, twisting metal and plasma into a doorway that shimmered between moments. The Vortex. It smelt of ozone and old circuits, alive with possibilities. 

TRCD’s hand hovered over the interface, the code of the Cells Interlinked etched in his memory. One wrong entry, and he could doom more than himself. One correct sequence, and he could undo decades of manipulation, restore the lives stolen by the half-human AI warlords... He took a breath.

And then the Vortex shuddered. Something from the future, or what remained of it was trying to
step through before him.

TRCD returns to his home base, VTO Records, for what has now become a yearly tradition. 

As label owner, he closes out each year with a powerful statement piece that captures the essence of his sound and marks another milestone in the TRCD story.

The Vortex is a fierce yet melodic neurofunk weapon, twisting listeners into its high-energy swirl of raw emotion. Already tested on dancefloors to stunned reactions and praised by fellow producers, this track cements TRCD’s status as a force in the scene and a fitting finale to another unforgettable year on VTO Records.
