"127 Hours"

(from September 2023) Great directing, acting, visuals for the most part and story. Although it ends too easily, the first 2/3 will have you guessing- until the end! And though the pay seems amazing- I think I'll just stick to delivering groceries! Dave and Emma both shine, despite the recycled formula (plot).

In den 80ern habt ihr Oz - Eine fantastische Welt gemacht, der die Geschichte des Klassikers fortsetzt. Aber ihr habt nie Der Zauberer von Oz selbst verfilmt. Und so kam es, dass wir uns nun ein Prequel und ein Sequel angesehen haben, den Mittelteil aber auslassen mussten (auch weil es Der Zauberer von Oz nirgendwo im Abo gibt). Amid the buzz surrounding the theatrical release of Wicked, The Film Buff takes a moment to remind everyone of the overlooked brilliance of 2013's Oz the Great and Powerful. This visually stunning film, directed by Sam Raimi, scored by Danny Elfman, and backed by the magic of Walt Disney Pictures, seems to have faded from memory—possibly due to the controversy surrounding its star, James Franco.
