I'm just a regular dude who's got intelligent drum and bass as the soundtrack to his life. After years of raving and after a thousand hours with headphones on my ears, it hit me to start mixing music for trips, for my commute, for motorbike rides. 'Mysthetik' is an invitation to experience sound as mysticism. Joel Hostettler’s experimental style weaves spiritual, dramatic, and quirky elements into music that resonates deeply and defies traditional boundaries.

Since 2013, mysthetik has explored various styles, including dark and forest psytrance, jungle DnB, and harder, darker techno/trance. Influenced by psychedelic genres, mysthetik’s sound stands out with its high-quality production, rooted in extensive experience as a mixing and mastering engineer. Known for his expertise in sound design, he crafts music rich in contrast, dissonance, and artistic finesse.

Mysthetik has been DJing since 2013, performing psytrance and techno at both smaller and larger parties and festivals around Basel. The '10 years of mysthetik' album serves as a retrospective compilation, showcasing the evolution of his sound and vision, inviting listeners on profound, psychedelic sonic journeys.

Looking ahead, mysthetik aims to connect with labels in psytrance, jungle DnB, and techno to further expand his artistic reach.
