After an earlier post—quite some time ago, really—I decided to take another stab at this Joe Jackson classic; a song from his strong 1986 album release "Big World." 
Note: I know Jackson had Reagan in mind—Iran/Contra especially—while writing and recording it, but I have my own "very stable genius" as an updated motivation for wanting to do this as a cover. Also, as for the artwork pictured on this-here post; the great Serge Clerc was the original artist—I modified the face.

So what is Balaeric anyway? Well other than being a really cruisy & loungey sound specific to the Balaeric islands off the coast of Spain, I like to think the idea is not to follow any rules in the music curation. As long as it sounds good and the vibe stays high, throw a b-side of an infamous punk band along some ambient world record.

Enjoy this mixtape with your feet up, preferably on a beach. While a little heady at times, I hope this collection of tunes brings some chill summer vibes wherever you may be.

3 guys, 3 generations, all from the same mid-Michigan town of Corunna. We all played multiple varsity sports at a high level and are currently working as members of the sports media.

Ted, the Baby Boomer of the bunch, attended Central Michigan University and since the mid 80’s has hosted The Sports Forum radio show and called high school play-by-play of a multitude of sports.

Our Generation-X co-host, Matt Burns, moved on from Corunna where he was a record setting wide receiver and graduated from Grand Valley State University. He now makes his living at ESPN.

Our youngest viewpoints will come from the Millennial of the trio Jerod Fattal. J-Rod starred at quarterback for the Cavaliers graduating in 2017, recently graduated from GVSU, and is working at Bally Sports Detroit.

Along with our unique 3 generation look at sports, pop culture, and current events, we have on a wide variety of guests; from ESPN's Ryan McGee, Ferris St. Head Football coach Tony Annese, media personalities Annie Agar and Wes Blankenship, ESPN Detroit Lions Insider Eric Woodyard, and plenty more!

I host two shows on 103.5 The Sun, a community radio station in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. Hey! Ho! Let's Go is punk/alternative rock.
