Halloween

Hey ya'll, I finished this just in time for Halloween this year. This is probably going to be the last Halloween mix I will ever do because long story short, I literally ran out of different variations of how I can make a spooky type of mix but also making it feel like "me" besides making it trap, midtempo, dubstep, etc.

Therefore, hope you guys like this final Halloween mix from me, definitely not the best thing I put out for sure, but happy that I finished it in time for the holiday.

We waren in de vorige podcast helemaal vergeten dat we al 5 jaar een podcast hebben en het zelfs de 100ste aflevering. Drew Struzan, een bekende filmposter-ontwerper is overleden. Uiteraard is er weer een sonnet van Marino. William heeft ‘Monster The Ed Gein Story’ gekeken en keek naar aanleiding daarvan ‘Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer’ uit 1986. JP wil heel even kort de film ‘The Life of Chuck’ van Mike Flanagan, naar aanleiding van een boek van Stephen King, bespreken en keek ‘Scream 4’ nog eens terug. We trokken de DVD van ‘Darkstar’, de studentenfilm van John Carpenter en Dan O’Bannon uit de kast. In onze Special bespreken we Rob Zombie’s ‘Halloween’ uit 2007, waar we het niet helemaal over eens zijn en we beantwoorden natuurlijk ook weer vragen van luisteraars over o.a. memorabele films met regen, onze thuisbioscoop,  onze watchlist en iconische karakters van de laatste 20 jaar. Today's special guest is someone we've been hoping to chat with since we first launched our show at the start of 2020, as we've been fans of his work ever since our local bookseller Greg Schauer sang the praises of GHOST ROAD BLUES many years ago. With the latest release in his NECROTEK novel series from Blackstone Publishing recently released (as part of the Weird Tales Presents series), we're thrilled to welcome special guest Jonathan Maberry to the pod!

Following his debut Pine Deep trilogy, Jonathan has written over fifty novels (including his long-running Joe Ledger thriller series), comics, had his series V-WARS adapted into a Netflix series, become a 5-time Bram Stoker Award-winner, 4-time Scribe Award winner and won an Inkpot Award. We're so delighted to chat a bit with Jonathan today about John Campbell's short story "Who Goes There?" (and its many cinematic adaptations), and the elements that inspired portions of his latest novel NECROTEK: COLD WAR.
