And, TROY is bolstering its reputation as Alabama’s international university by building partnerships in Vietnam.

This is not just a song—it’s a warning, a requiem, and a reckoning. From Medgar Evers to George Floyd, from Selma’s blood-soaked bridge to Charlottesville’s open hate, Still Goddamn lays bare the truth America still refuses to confront.

With gritty piano, gospel harmonies, and a voice that refuses to soften for comfort, this anthem tears the mask off white supremacy—past and present. It names names. It demands more than hashtags. And it refuses the lie that justice can wait.

We honor John Lewis not with polite speeches, but by building the bridge he dreamed of—one not draped in a Klansman’s name, but lifted by fists, votes, and truth.

The occasion was a rally commemorating 5 years since John Lewis passed and I used his words from a 2018 rally in Texas backed by a superb funk track from Jayl Funk.  How Jayl Funk pulled this track together, I'd love to know, but it hits hard

Dawn Porter is an award-winning filmmaker and joins the podcast to tell us about the power of storytelling and describes how many of her films came to be including her newest release, The Sing-Sing Chronicles.
