I haven't posted anything in a while but i have been working on things. i turned 40 and got myself a present of new equipment. my old equipment didn't even have a working headphone jack for the last 3 years.....   this mix is the most complex endeavor i have ever created. over 20 samples if not maybe 30 from everything from J1d to mac to the ta1k1ng heads to p$nk floyd multiple floyd samples,  coco rosie to my absolute number one favorite band **T00l***. this mix is the evolution of my life on the west coast.  all wrapped up and swirled into a massive amount of love  to all of the music that has influenced, inspired, and honestly saved my life through sonic release these last 40 years. things are gonna get better from here on out. thank you all from the bottom of my heart for ever listening and please enjoy this journey. I think you will. I love you all.

EMPATHY AND ENTROPY MIX 2024

I had the privilege of playing a late-in-the-night set for a wonderfully full cuddlepuddle floor at the kiez burn decompression night at Birgit, Berlin. What a beautiful collection of humans. I appreciate Berlin‘s burner community so much - the love, generosity, creativity, dedication and expertise are through the roof.

I was a little experimental at times in this set... let me know what you think, all feedback is welcome!

YESSSS! WOW <3 Such an epic night for me! I had a blast doing what I love. Co-creating conscious dance space with attunement and permission. It was very meaningful for me to teach the dance lab and DJ the dance. The first time doing this since starting the Boulder Ecstatic Dance. This was an offering I use to do almost every week out of my house during covid, and was the seed that planted the inspiration for B.E.D.. It felt like a full circle experience that I will be riding the wave of for some time! Thank you to this community and everyone who contributes in all the big and small ways. What a GIFT!! Thank you for welcoming and getting down with me! I had such a blast with the Nosara community <3 I am grateful for all my Boulder Colorado friends that came out too! Thank you to Ryan, Ali and Laura for holding it down and making it so easeful and fun to come play in your beautifully cultivated container. 

This set was inspired by bridging Bass inspired music of Colorado with the inspiration of the funky, sexy and groovy house music of Latin America. A little backgound on what brings me to be here...

My musical life started in the disciplined but narrow world of classical music. In my teens I had several powerful group musical experiences that looking back I would class as genuine peak experiences, and these lit a fire in me, setting my direction for the next 15 years.

I was lucky enough to study and train at the Royal College of Music in London before doing a masters in jazz composition and performance, after which I stepped out into the world as a freelance musician. However, after around 10 years I had lost the meaning, enjoyment and purpose that had initially carried me into the profession, and I knew I had to stop. From one day to the next I put my life as a musician down and went an entirely different professional path. But I knew that music would come back to me when the time was right. Another decade or so later - with a whole lot of life in between - here I am.

Most of the music I play is in ceremonial, shamanic and ritualistic contexts, but there is something about the sacred chaos of raves, parties and festivals that I experience as one of the highest forms of collective beauty. It is into these spaces that I offer the music that I share here.

Luna Falls (Tampa, FL) is a multi-genre bass DJ who is carving her own path in the EDM scene. She takes the crowd on a roller coaster journey through future bass, dubstep, trap, and speed house, and blends it all together with intense build-ups and unexpected halftime drops.

Luna crafts her sets to tell a story, using music as a tool to encourage people to move, feel and express. She strives to connect with the crowd and invites her listeners to lose themselves in the music, embody their authentic selves, and leave feeling a little bit lighter and freer.

Unfurling like a mysterious dancing Fern in a gentle Appalachian breeze, elusive as a midnight Jaguar...not unlike the Fibonacci spiral, nestled deep within a mystical temperate rainforest, Fiddlehead springs up and emerges from the undergrowth with exotic frequencies from all around this great Turtle Island. 
  This particular dancing fiddlehead fern grows up through the soil with a humble intention to channel healing and transformation through the potent Medicina of music and dance. The liquid flowing layers and waves take us on a potent journey through the interwoven mycellial networks, deep into the core of Pacha Mama and the deepest oceans, to the streets of Berlin, out into the dense rainforests of the Amazon, Congo, Osa, and to the vast mysterious deserts of the far East and highest peaks of the Andes, to the Celtic highlands, Appalachians, Cascades, Sierras, and Misty Mountains of Middle-Earth. 
  Fiddlehead's flow is inspired by a lifetime of deep connection to nature, ceramic art, nature connection and guiding with children and teenagers, ceremony, world travel, and a passionate study and full immersion in a plethora of musical genres since early childhood. The Bass forest is infinite...
