Just For Today

Like my previous two releases, I began this song during the lockdown. It was a season wherein I was reminded of two very important things: first, the transience of life; second, the imminence of Christ's return. Remembering these is necessary in keeping my feet on the ground amidst victories, and in facing and overcoming challenges; both with gratitude and hope.

Now, I welcome a new season of victories and challenges as I remain a student-musician, for my first semester at law school begins next week. And I'm not afraid, for He has taught me the secret of being ready to live another day: knowing that you are renewed by and reconciled with your Maker through Jesus Christ; that you belong to Him and are doing His will. And since He provides for those that are His, He will continue to take care of me--today and all the days that He has fixed for me, if there be any more. On the other hand, if this life ends anytime soon--whether with my departure or with Christ's return--I know I'll finally be completely free and safe from this world. 

So, though dwindling, the days are getting brighter. Thank you for supporting the gossamery project; I pray that it gives you a glimpse of my joy as a daughter of the Ancient of Days. May He alone be glorified!
