Kelly Richards is the President and Director of the Free Library of Philadelphia. He brings almost 3 decades of library experience to Philadelphia, including serving as the past President of the Michigan Library Association. Mr. Richards is passionate about elevating and amplifying the Free Library’s collections and programming to reach all Philadelphians. He is frequently quoted as saying that public libraries are the Peoples’ University.
