STORM ALERT!!!!!! WARNING!!!!! This is a replay of Sounds Of Old Jamaica Radio Show Episode 8 which originally aired on August 21st 2023. This episode was prerecorded on 8/20/23 in the midst of Tropical Storm Hilary and a 5.1 Earthquake which was no doubt caused by the booming bass frequencies from some of the big tunes played by Selector Karlos Evakuate Naphtali on this day.  Also towards the end of the show I sing a live version of my singe Oh Jahovah produced by Shield and Buckler Music.

As mentioned this session was recorded a day early as precaution and we will be coming to you live and direct next Monday with the usual auditory shenanigans you have surely become accustomed to.  ;)

Ras Sal(Roots Corner, Roots Time Radio, Roots Corner Radio, Teocali Sound) makes his triumphant return to California and joins me as my guest in kind of a role reversal style.  Ras Sal has been a friend, teacher and mentor of mine in this reggae dj/radio community and I have been a regular guest on his shows numerous times. i've been DJing forever as Big G, SUNZ OF AXIS and Sub Erb+Kaos.... I was a box boy and DJ for the Mighty Axis Sound System , I lifted heaps of giant speaker boxes  and learned about Dub, Reggae and Dancehall...thank you Paul Axis, Mikey DON and Natty B you all helped me become a most powerful Jedi ..... ;] 
In the late 90's I owned my own record shop - Proper Records, (big up Joss Jinx, Matt Proper, Bladey and Bones - could not have done it without these guys) 
We also had 3 labels "Birth" "HomeGrown" and "Proper", (Django made the tunes and Bent Coppa helped run tingz...........

We also ran a few decent nights and many "big names" started out on our stage... 

New Zealand has been my home for over 15 years now .....

The journey of the Austrian DJ and producer began in the year 2011 with unique vinyl selections of reggae & Jamaican roots music. Highly passionate about creating unique DJ sets and releasing digital mixtapes in these genres, he has gathered more and more of an audience by spinning the turntables in his hometown scene, Vienna, throughout the years. 

His project benefiting a charity initiative in Ethiopia and the collaboration within various dub sound systems and producers has found a lot of shared interest and support from all over the world. Love to this non-profit, social care and his motivation has summed a donation out of 400 mixtape CDs, which were sold for Langano, a village close to Addis Ababa. This has supported educational and agricultural sectors, built awareness about HIV & Aids and provided better healthcare in the village!

New doors have opened to a new level following the DJ path in the reggae & hip-hop scene and developing through the study of sound engineering in 2016. His music productions have found a lot of interest in many radios, magazines and in the ears of numerous artists like Lee Scratch Perry, Mowty Mahlyka and General Levy who was featured on the latest releases. 

The upcoming release on his label Rasfimillia Productions is a collaboration with the French artist Taiwan MC, part of Chinese Man Records, and junglist FLeCK from Greece.
