Vol. 21 is a Brisbane artist working in the overlap of dark alt-trap and lo-fi indie. The project pairs sub-heavy, half-time beats and close-mic vocals with sparse, slow guitar sketches, using negative space and diaristic writing to put feeling ahead of polish. Tracks swing between late-night 808 melancholy and stripped, slowcore-leaning ballads, keeping a DIY, self-released ethos. It’s intimate, raw, and deliberately unsanitised—music as catharsis more than spectacle.

Patrick Adamus a.k.a. SHRYNES is a Drum and Bass producer and Dj from Seattle, WA. 

His younger years were spent as a vocalist and screamer for a metal group in California where he found his passion for the driving force and drum pattern that would ultimately lead to his obsession with Drum and Bass. 

While the joy for the heavier part of the DNB spectrum is deeply rooted from his Metal Background he has found a passion in creating an all around versatile and expressive performance with genres ranging from emotional Liquid Drum and Bass, energetic melodic DnB and Future bass, Halftime Drops and vibey 4 on the floor Drum and Bass selections.
