El décimo aniversario del quinto largo y uno de los mejores de Kurt Vile hasta la fecha, Wakin’ On A Pretty Daze (05-4-2013), nos hace conscientes -una vez más- de lo rápido que pasa el tiempo y también de que el de Philadelphia, sin hacer excesivo ruido, se ha convertido a sus 43 años ya en un clásico. Con la ayuda de la gran Ana Espina nos atrevemos a repasar su ya dilatada discografía, pinchando además otras cosas muy relacionadas con él, como The War On Drugs (banda de la que es cofundador), John Prine, Courtney Barnett, Dinosaur Jr. y alguna sorpresita más que no aparece en el tracklist…

Recorded in my Atlanta kitchen with nylon-string guitar, it blends stream-of-consciousness storytelling and offbeat imagery — “I am a stain on the carpet at night, waiting for the bleach to come.”

For fans of Pavement, Silver Jews, early Beck, Alex G, and David Berman, this track drifts between dry humor and existential weight, channeling the hazy afternoons and restless nights of Southern summers.

Cat In a Zoo foi criada em 2018 na cidade de São Paulo (SP) pelo cantor Heitor Lopes, conta hoje com Eddie Oliveira, no baixo, e Evan Landi na bateria.

A banda no ano de 2018 e 2019 reservou o momento para apresentar em todas as regiões de São Paulo. Em 2020, no ano de início da pandemia, o foco virou na produção de material musical e de vídeo. Desde então, com o lançamentos de 2 álbuns e 3 singles, a banda continua a escrever sobre temas religiosos, políticos e filosóficos.
