Nordic Summer Nights

Laniakea means "Immeasurable Heaven" in Hawaiian.
A suitable name for the great community of galaxies we live in.
On the edge of Laniakea, in a galaxy named the Milky Way, around a star we call the Sun, there's a small blue marble.
Our modest home, Earth.

Here you are, inside a wintry observatory in Antarctica. 
You can move this impressive telescope to look at different galaxies, and enter their worlds.

Polar Insight Into Laniakea

Perseverance is an often underrated masculine quality. The ability and will to keep going with a purpose, even when other things for a while will take focus, or interrupt. Humbly this describes a part of myself, and also the process of this piece of music, which has taken 15 months to finish. But here it finally is. Due to perseverance, it is there,  and I think you can hear the perseverance in the trance like pace of the whole track. Enjoy <3 O:)Updated 2020-12-04 with new 24bit remastered version

Perseverance

As it developed, I felt as I was writing an opening title for mystery drama.

Close your eyes, open your ears and take a journey from the frozen middle of winter, through the warming of spring and into the bright sunlight of summer in this relaxing, ambient piece.

I was trying to convey the sense of time moving slowly but also rapidly, like how it feels living the same week on repeat while in lockdown for 112 days.

Featuring ambient recordings sourced from many providers including foley captured many years ago by me and my trusty MiniDisc recorder. This is likely the only track I've produced with me whistling.

An interesting, but totally unrelated note, this track goes for 420 seconds.

Moving through space and Time Spaceship ION flies past Moon and Mars to explore. this spacecraft was launched for Sci-Fi fantasy journey to the stars

My first track with the beautiful Mickleburgh Piano from pianobook.co.uk. Along with some LABs sounds from Spitfire Audio, I wanted to paint the picture of a cold day with the sun peaking through the grey clouds above the trees. The photo in the art work is by my daughter.

I am slowly LOCKING IN

Born and Raised in New Orleans, music was my first love. After seeing  James  Bond ‘You Only Live Twice’ in the late sixties, the theme music had a profound affect on me.  I played in Rock bands throughout  the late seventies and eighties, writing and composing rock melodies,  but appreciated all genres of music.  Raising a family became the most important thing for the next 20 years, so music was set aside, but never forgotten. After moving to Nashville in 2018, music has once again stoked this passion for writing and composing music from a low flame into a full burn. Now I find myself on a new and unique avenue writing cinematic music using MIDI guitar and keys.
