Simone Zino returns to Ratis Records with a powerful new three-track EP. As the owner of Ratis, Zino makes a statement with a diverse and high-impact collection that explores different shades of Techno while staying true to his unmistakable sound. Opening the EP is "Labyrinth", a hypnotic and groovy journey marked by rolling rhythms, intricate percussions, and a deep, trippy atmosphere that pulls the listener into its maze-like structure. Next is "90s", a full-bodied, groove-driven track that channels the raw energy and attitude of classic 90s Techno while updating it with Zinos modern production edge. Its a floor-filler with character and punch. Closing the release is "Apocalisse", a melodic and emotionally charged piece that builds tension through dramatic synth work and cinematic sound design, offering a more introspective take on the Techno spectrum. Simone Zinos return to his own imprint is both a nod to his roots and a fresh step forward, showcasing his versatility and refined approach to contemporary Techno.

Between this and my last track “C18” i’ve made about 7 mixes with similar elements/sounds though still quite different. This one was actually 14 minutes long so cropped the 1st part and kept the rest:)

This original composition for electronic sounds and electric guitar is centered around the deep ambient resonance of the TON 618 black hole. Each time its haunting presence emerges, it warps the surrounding elements—human speech and electric guitar textures—twisting them through extreme time-stretching and distortion. In the rare moments when the black hole recedes, the listener is met with the eerie echoes of a medieval choir, offering a brief, uncanny contrast.

Fun Facts:
It's Just a Game was written during the days of Laughing Sun.
An extremely odd situation was starting to unfold.
This went way beyond the normal entropy which followed the closing of a cycle of good fortune.
It's Just a Game is a song of esoteric chords and key changes.
Some of these chords went on to form the basis of the song Lullaby, which came later.
The Electric Mistress is set to the 'red' setting, as used for the song Planets.

Approaching cultural humility through a Black Queer and Afrocentric perspective KCC creates and navigates Brave Spaces with the intention of building and supporting organic community connections.
Cultural Humility is about accepting our limitations. Those who practice cultural humility work to increase their self awareness of their own biases and perceptions and engage in a life-long self-reflection process about how to put these aside and learn. In short, folks who practice cultural humility spend a lifetime learning how to ‘get over’ themselves in order to authentically meet and connect with others.

Simone Zino began his music journey as a teenager playing piano and later transitioned to electronic music. He topped the Beatport chart, released tracks on prestigious labels like Joseph Capriati's "REDIMENSION", Sam Paganini's "JAM" and Joyhauser's "MEMORO", and performed at iconic venues like Amnesia Ibiza. A highlight was playing at Joseph Capriati's "Metamorfosi" night in 2023. In 2024, he toured India, growing his international fan base with support from major figures like Adam Beyer and Richie Hawtin.

Brillman has been an electronic online musician during the last 20 years using many different names: Brillman, Controlfreak, freakcontrol, Red Karma, Atmosphere, Zero Loop, Pan64, Randomcontrol, geometric delay and Superfreak! Brillman mainly creates original sounds from hardware synths but also uses guitar, samplers, vocals or even poetry. He primarily utilizes a 4 to the floor approach. The aesthetics behind the music is about finding a balance between minimalism vs. depth & improvisation vs. programmed.

We support all independent musicians who are doing something we find interesting. Our team members all have formal music education qualifications.

We are against corporate brainwash muzak, their puppet friends in the mass media, and many other corporate activities. We will fight their desecration of music until either it stops or we die. 

We believe in helping others in the face of corrupt laws and a broken system. We are pro democracy, green energy and free speech.

We're politically liberal. We cannot support the republicans, maga or gun violence in the usa. We don't see there's any real difference, other than in name, between the christian far right in the USA and the taliban in Afghanistan.

In the uk we are broadly pro LibDem/Green/Labour/SNP. We are VERY anti-tory, bnp, ukip, and any of their friends and associates. We have no trust at all in the uk right wing press monopoly and the bbc. Beware the bbc and its claims of neutrality. It is the propaganda mouthpiece of the tory party. It even charges a propaganda tax called the licence fee. But we like Test Match Special and Radio 6, so does that make us hypocrites...? Hmm.

We support independence for Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and Cornwall. We support the individual and the underdog. We are anti-putin and his war, and pro-Ukraine.
