Growing up south of San Antonio, Texas, Matthew was raised in a musical and artistic household. Surrounded by authors and music, it’s no wonder Matthew fell in love with songwriting, writing over 450 songs and as an artist under the name "Matthew A. Butter" releasing 3 albums and several singles...streaming on most major platforms including YouTube.

His genre is collectively a blend between Country, Rock, Soul, and Pop. Covers everything from The Beatles to George Strait to the Eagles as well as Motown classics such as "My Girl" and "Stand By Me." Matthew plays mainly solo acoustic but can perform as a duo or with a full band as the venue needs and allows.
