"I Want You Near" was inspired by the soundtrack to the game "NieR Automata," despite sharing many similarities with the tonal palette of "The Last of Us." The piece was written and performed on a cordoba flamenco nylon string guitar, recorded by myself using an intimate stereo setup.

The piece follows a simple "AA" structure —  the melody is initially stated, then repeated more emphatically alongside accompaniment. The piece was originally far more developmental, and almost three times as long, but after a chance listening to the soundtrack to "Clair Obscur," I realized a good melody is far too precious to overcomplicate with needless development! The piece opens with nylon guitar and a subtle dark synth pad. At the repeat, the guitar is accompanied by double basses and violins playing con sordino, a synth sub-bass, additional synth pads, soft female choir, and lotus seed and maraca shakers.

I'm learning guitar right now so just messing around. Gives me Last of Us and Annihilation vibes. I was thinking of the beauty of nature coming out and swallowing up a society in ruins. Spring is when new life forms, taking over the old. The bittersweet goodbye mixed with a hello. That's what I'm trying to evoke here.

With the launch of his professional music career marked by the debut album "7 Sins" in 2024 under DSR Digital, ALUIN RA has made significant strides in the electronic music landscape. His early experiments in music production, starting at age 12, culminated in nearly 60 tracks that showcase his evolution from a self-taught producer to a pioneering figure in the music industry.
