Memories of taking the Manx youth choir, Aeg Threshlyn, to the Festival International de Musique et des Arts de Latour de France in 1983.
As well as recollections of performance spaces, fancy dress and more, a stand-out memory is of the outside performance amidst thunder and lighting, wherein a performer miraculously was able to ride about on a pony!

I det här avsnittet djupdyker vi ned i belysningskoncernen Fagerhult och vår lära känna vd Bodil Sonesson. Bolaget är ett innehav i Latour som dessutom är Fagerhults största ägare. 

Skiftet från glaslampor med wolframtråd till LED inleddes 2009 och nu pågår nästa skifte mot smart belysning. Globalt har vi bara börjat skrapa på ytan men potentialen är mycket stor samtidigt som betalningsviljan är väsentligt högre. För vad händer egentligen när varje lampa i framtiden har en sensor som kan prata med larm, klimatanläggning, uppvärmningssystem etc? 

I det här avsnittet får vi lära oss väldigt mycket om belysning, hur många Kelvin ens lampor hemma borde ha och var vi hittar Fagerhults produkter i det offentliga rummet när vi har börsglasögonen på oss.

Em setembro de 2023, lançou o @BiggerlandFestival, em comemoração aos 10 anos da @BiggerParty.

Amongst his many years of nightlife Latour has defined a sharp and comprehensive skillset behind the decks playing an array of house, tech house & techno with quirky twists leaving the listener never knowing what may be around the corner. As a DJ his skills are as visual as they are audible. This expertise has seen him play shows at very reputable festivals and venues around the country such as, Splendour In The Grass, Falls Festival, Babylon Festival, elsewhere, Revolver, Circus Paradise Festival, IVY, Glass Island, Full Moon Down Under, onesixone, Nautic Giants, Pawn & Co, Nevermind Smallclub, Circus Sundays, MVMNT, Dirty Sundays, Day Spa, TBC Club, 170 Russell, otherwise & more.. 

His track "Paradise" featuring UK's Holly Lois racked up over 130,000 plays in 2018.  Following with a multiple releases on the iconic Nervous Records. In 2020 his track "Situation" broke into the ARIA Club Charts Top 50 as well as being awarded ARIA DJ of the Week nation wide. In a sea of glamour Latour remains true to the music being a core product of his early underground surroundings. After a lengthy 8 year residency in 2019 Latour stepped into the music director role at one of the countries most respected underground dance venues "elsewhere" proving his place in the industry. In 2021 Latour was shortlisted as a finalist in his cities music awards for "Breakout Artist Of The Year".  Reaching as high as #3 on the ARIA Club Charts. 

From skipping days at secondary school to learn Ableton & search Beatport to playing the countries best venues & releasing on the some of the best international labels out - with no signs of stopping.

DJ and producer Cody Chase, known for his dynamic techno and house mixes, brings an electrifying presence back to the dance music scene. With his unique 4-deck live-mixing and original tracks teeming with raw energy, every performance promises a one-of-a-kind auditory adventure.

This podcast presents the results of the research conducted by the X-Research Group “What is the Right Ontology for the Anthropocene”, held at the Institute of Philosophy of the Free University of Berlin from April to July of 2024.   

The “What is the right ontology for the Anthropocene” research group was coordinated by Dr. Elena Tripaldi and comprised Derin Kayabali, Johann Čierny, Jonas Hägele, Linus Wilke, Philipp Letz, Sarah Wulbrecht, and Veronica Mota Galindo. 

The research group focused on the following questions: What understanding of reality inspires the best interactions between humans and non-humans? How do we draw the line between human and non-human? Are care and compassion possible in a world where we have little control on our actions and their consequences? And are the traditional concepts of Western thought the best guide in this journey?

Back then I started to buy and read Mixmag, Muzik Magazine along with DJ Mag for years. Since I have amassed an extensive vinyl (7000+) & CD (500+) collection, along with a huge collection of high quality digital audio files over the years in my computer. I play mostly progressive house, deep house, and techno music, along with sets of industrial & new wave and ambient music, which were my musical interests prior to the rave parties of the 90’s. I’ve loved electronic music since I was young from Duran Duran to Depeche Mode to New Order to Ministry, Skinny Puppy, FRONT 242, Siouxsie & The Banshees, to DJs Sasha & John Digweed, Tiga, Jeno & Garth, and The Hardkiss Brothers (Scott, Robbie & Gavin Hardkiss) the list is endless. Today I still love to use vinyl records in my sets along with digital files & CDs. As an audio engineer from SAE Expression College I prefer to use vinyl records or AIFF/WAV files when I am putting out an 320kpbs MP3 recording of a set that I’m DJing so as to keep the best sound quality.
