You’re dealt unfair cards, opportunities slip through your fingers, and yet — somehow — you keep insisting on having things your way. But what happened to doing life&nbsp;together&nbsp;as a couple? If you want a marriage that lasts, it’s time for a mindset shift: stop always doing what you want. Think about what you do in your marriage now. How do you make decisions? Who makes those decisions? Are they one-sided, or do both of you share your thoughts and ideas? Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at the .    Why We Fall Into the “Me-First” Trap It’s natural to want to fulfill your own desires. You are an individual, after all. But marriage is a partnership — a commitment to share your journey, all the ups and downs, with someone else. When you prioritize your own wants without truly including your spouse, you’re eroding that partnership. It’s not about losing your personality or your dreams. It’s about expanding your vision to include your partner’s heart and mind alongside your own. The K.I.S.S. ~ Become couple-centered!   How Do You Become Couple-Centered Instead of Self-Centered? Becoming a couple-centered spouse means you actively choose to weave your decisions, desires, and daily life with the perspective of "we” rather than “me.” It’s about respect, communication, and intentionality. Here are three practical moves any spouse can make to ensure they stop doing what they&nbsp;want and start including their spouse in the picture.  1.&nbsp;Check Yourself Before You Act — Practice Intentional Pause Before you make decisions, especially big or impactful ones, pause. Ask yourself:  “Would my spouse agree with this?” “How will this affect us?” “Have I asked for their input?”  This pause is your gateway to shifting from reactive, self-focused action to thoughtful consideration. It interrupts the autopilot mode of “doing what I want” and opens the door to dialogue, even if just internally at first.  2.&nbsp;Prioritize Open and Honest Communication Couples don’t magically sync up just because they share a house. You have to communicate. This isn’t about endlessly debating or impressing your point of view. It’s about genuinely inviting your spouse to share their thoughts, feelings, and preferences—and then valuing what they say enough to let it influence your decisions. Make it a habit to check in regularly:  “What do you think about this?” “How do you feel if we do it this way?” “I want us both to be happy — help me see your side.”  When communication moves from “telling” to “listening,” you create space for collaboration.  3.&nbsp;Create Shared Goals and Boundaries Marriage isn’t just about compromises made in the moment — it’s about creating a shared vision for your life together. Sit down and map out your priorities, values, and non-negotiables as a couple. What do you want your relationship to look like in five years? Ten? What are the things you both agree are important? Having these shared goals serves as a compass for decision-making and helps prevent the “me-first” mindset from derailing your journey. You’re not just living alongside each other; you’re building a life with a common purpose. Final Truth: Marriage Means You’re Not Solo Anymore Stop doing what you always want. Start doing what&nbsp;you both&nbsp;want — or at least what you agree on after you listen and compromise. Overcoming Imposter Syndrome in New Management

“The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?”&nbsp;— Psalm 118:6 (KJV) At first glance, this verse is bold, even audacious. It’s a statement packed with strength: when God is by your side, fear of what others think, say, or do loses its grip. Faith over fear. But what does that truly mean outside of Sunday sermons or quiet moments of prayer? What does living with “faith over fear” actually look like day-to-day? Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at the .    1. Fear Is Real — But Faith Is Realer Fear is hardwired into us. The dread of rejection, failure, judgment, or harm can freeze the bravest souls. Fear whispers: "What if they say no? What if I lose? What if I’m not enough?" Psalm 118:6 flips that script. It’s not about ignoring fear but recognizing that something greater stands guard. Faith isn’t the absence of fear—it’s the courage to stand firm&nbsp;because&nbsp;of what you believe. It’s knowing God’s presence is infinitely more powerful than the opinions or actions of mere humans.  2. Faith Shows Up in Bold Decisions Living “faith over fear” means making choices that scare you—but you do them anyway. It could be:  Speaking up for what’s right even when it’s unpopular. Launching a business or career move that feels risky. Setting boundaries with people who drain or diminish you. Saying “no” to conformity so you can say “yes” to your calling.  Fear wants to keep you stuck in silence and safety. Faith propels you forward, anchored by the promise that God is on your side.  3. Faith Gives Peace Amid Uncertainty In real life, “not fearing man” doesn’t guarantee a smooth path. You will face criticism, misunderstanding, setbacks, and even betrayal. But faith is a shield that guards against the chaos. When you internalize Psalm 118:6, you develop an unshakable peace. You stop overanalyzing every reaction or outcome because your security rests in God’s favor, not human approval. The K.I.S.S. ~ Faith over fear!   4. Faith Transforms Your Identity Fear tells you that your worth depends on the acceptance of others. Faith reminds you whose you are. Living this verse means seeing yourself as loved, supported, and empowered by the Creator. That identity becomes your rock. You’re no longer tossed by every opinion or threat because you stand in the truth of God’s unwavering presence.  5. Faith Inspires Others to Bravery When you choose faith over fear, you become a beacon for those still trapped by fear. Your courage lights a path and invites others to consider that they, too, can live boldly, knowing God is their defender. Psalm 118:6 isn’t just a promise for you; it’s an invitation to others: “Come see what it looks like to fear less and live more.”  Walk It Out: Putting Faith Over Fear  Start small:&nbsp;Look for moments to choose faith in everyday decisions. Say what needs saying. Take a small risk. Practice prayer or meditation:&nbsp;Remind yourself regularly that God is by your side. Lean into scripture:&nbsp;Let verses like Psalm 118:6 root you in truth when anxiety creeps in. Surround yourself wisely:&nbsp;Engage with people who encourage your faith and celebrate your boldness.   Faith Is Your Power Play Psalm 118:6 is a call to courage:&nbsp;The LORD is with you, so why fear what man can do?&nbsp;Living faith over fear is not naive optimism; it’s deliberate strength. It’s the daily choice to step forward with God as your shield, no matter what shakes your world. When you embrace that, fear loses its throne—and faith takes the lead.
