July 4th Patriotic Mix

"America, Land of The Free" is another American Song I began just about when Lee Greenwood's "God Bless The USA" came out. As a songwriter, I wanted to challenge myself to attempt a song as strong and patriotic as Greenwood's iconic tune. I'm not even certain he wrote it, but it was all inspiring. My favorite part of this song are the counter melodies I added in the second verse. The flute handing off the solo to the strings still gives me chills. Here's what I like to refer to as another American song...

When I think of all the heartaches, harbored in the world today,
I have to think about the life here in the USA.
