Ukulele and vocals: Ina Maria . This song is called "If it be your will" and it was originally written by Leonard Cohen. 

If find the chord progression in this composition is very pretty. Such a beautiful melody also. But my favorite thing about Leonard Cohen was always his lyrics. He is such a good songwriter.  

But,..yes, this recording is just me practicing how to play this Leonard Cohen song called "If it be your will" on my Ukulele...
I am not sure I even got the verses rights,.. hi hi.. anyways I was fumbling, and looping a bit trying to get the chords right in this recording..  
Leonard Cohen said. In his own words, and this is another thing that I really like about him...he said; "Ring the Bells, that still can ring. Forget your perfect offering. There is a crack in everything, and that is how the light gets in". He he :-) 

I like this not having to be so perfect, more chill approach. It has another charm about it than the overly produced pieces of music. 

I used to always compose my tunes on either guitar, piano or the ukulele. 
But nowadays I am using a mini midi-keyboard when I compose new tracks.. 
I love working with my little AKAI keys. 

But yes.., just me jamming a bit,  and singing over these pretty chords and melody from Leonard Cohen's song with my Ukulele.

Ukulele Practice ~ „If It Be Your Will“ [Leonard Cohen session with vocals and ukulele]

"La tierra será desolada", dice Miqueas. El profeta anuncia un juicio, que siempre nos parece duro e injustificado. Cuando hablamos de la bondad de Dios, siempre nos parece que merecemos más. No aceptamos la gravedad de nuestro mal. Preferimos "un Dios sin ira que lleve a seres humanos sin pecado a un reino sin juicio por un Cristo sin cruz" (Richard Niebuhr). 

El poeta y cantautor canadiense Leonard Cohen venía de una larga familia de estudiosos de las Escrituras judías. Su último álbum analógico es el más largo de toda su carrera. Se llama "El futuro" (1992) y lo hace con la caída del Muro de Berlín y en medio de las protestas por la discriminación racial de la policía de Los Ángeles. Es un disco desesperanzado, como la canción del ahora también fallecido, Franco Battiato, "Pobre patria" (1991) que refleja una Italia sin remedio. La escuchamos, esta vez en español, con la voz de la cantante argentina Mercedes Sosa.  

La película "Gran Cañón" (El alma de la ciudad en Latinoamérica) refleja la misma desolación de Cohen, ese año en Los Ángeles. Sigue la vida de seis personas en medio de la violencia, la pobreza, la discriminación racial y la crisis matrimonial. Es como "Reencuentro" (The Big Chill 1983), un magnifico cuadro generacional de Lawrence Kasdan de nuevo con Kevin Kline, pero ahora también con Danny Glover, Steve Martin y esas maravillosas actrices que eran Mary McDonnell y Mary-Louise Parker. Escuchamos escenas de la película, que José de Segovia comenta con la banda sonora original de James Newton Howard. 

La canción sobre nuestro "Problema"  de Bob Dylan, la hace al final de sus llamados "años de Jesús" en el tercer álbum de su trilogía al llegar a la fe cristiana, "Disparo de Amor" (1981). El Nobel de Literatura ha escogido ahora este título para la caja que recupera la grabaciones desechadas de esos discos y sus siempre diferentes versiones en vivo. Su antiguo amor, Mavis Staples (¡se dice que pidió su mano a su padre, que la rechazó!), formada en el legendario grupo de góspel de la lucha por los derechos civiles con Martin Luther King, Staples Singers, cierra el programa con el tema de que "hay mal en el mundo, pero también en nosotros". Por lo que dice que "no sirve de nada pretender que somos tan bueno como podríamos ser"...

The music pieces are usually developed trough a process based on acoustic compositions on guitar that are later translated into electronica.
