Here’s another haiku by Tachibana Hokushi, also author of the poem we published last week.

Tachibana Hokushi, whose real name was Tachibana Genjiro, was born in Kanazawa in 1665. Hokushi was one of Basho’s most famous students at the time, and he even accompanied the great master during part of his famous journey through the narrow roads of the North, from Kanazawa to Matsuoka.

This week a special thing with No3sis (@no3sis) for his upcoming LP out the 15th of November.

Paul, alias Noesis, is a french artist based in Aubervilliers (Paris / FR). Paul focus its creation in an experimental approach of electronic music, in connection with the digital arts, and use of artificial intelligence as a tool for creation rather than enslavement.
Musically, the approach doesn't obey to established style compositions technics : sometimes ambient, generative, tribal, often mystical, willingly futuristic, with influences from IDM, bass music, electronica, or science fiction soundtracks. Live (AV), the project could take the form of a collaboration with the artist Francesca Diprima in an “augmented” dance performance.
No3sis has very recently co-founded the Syrinx Music label where music and digital art projects are to come. You can also listen to it every month its "noetic show" on Threads Radio.

About this LP : 

Evidence Based Shamanism is the first release of Gautama, proposed by the artist Noesis. The album is completely available in its digital version, and is proposed as 30 limited and numeroted dubplates for its physical version, as a deliberately incomplete and unique relics, with the aim of illustrating the limitation and singularity of our physical world. We are nowadays augmented by our digital artifacts. But If we are more than our physical life, we do not want to fall into the ideological pitfalls leading to the dystopian aporias of transhumanism. This work, in continuity with the general aesthetic line of Noesis, shows itself as a pharmakon of this hybrid condition of life, to poetically embody this complex relationship to the world, which oscillates between rationality and mysticism, virtual and real universes, art and science, human and artificial intelligence.
This art piece is the result of an in-vivo / in-silico symbiosis.

Starting 2022 with a great artist, Aes Dana, one of the most aknowledged artist of the ambient scene and co-owner of @ultimae records

Vincent Villuis aka AES DANA is composer, sound designer, DJ and founder of @ultimae records label. An electronic activist for over 25 years, also a founding member of the Asura band.

Bass player and singer in several coldwave and industrial bands as a teenager, Vincent then moved on to composing with machines and specialised in audio sampling and layering of acoustic sounds digitally transmuted. Its music ensures a coherent fusion between Deep Ambient, Downtempo and IDM with a touch of Electronica Neo-Classical, Indus & Liquid Drum'n'Bass.

As AES Dana he has produced 7 albums, a collection of audio samples and about 50 tracks for various compilations, while collaborating with the Swedish artist Magnus Birgersson (aka Solar Fields) under the moniker H.U.V.A. NETWORK on 3 albums and with the Greek artist MIKTEK on 3 EP releases gathered later in the concept album « Far & Off ». They also worked together on the “Fragments 01 & 02” sample libraries. His solo-designed music library «Aethers» (co-published with Loopmasters) which was voted « best Cinematic Ambient sound bank » in 2015.

He composed scores and licensed existing works for short and feature films, documentaries and BBC tv programs such as « Atrophy Bank » by Sam Asaert, « The Passport » by Amund Lie, « Mandorla » by Roberto Miller or « Breath of Life » by Susan Kucera which opened new perspectives on composition and sound design and collaborations with various advertising agencies.

He is also the curator of the Fahrenheit Project compilations. As head of the Ultimae Studios, he earned a solid reputation for his Audio Mastering works & Sound Design.
He also is working on several projects in parallel: remixes, scorings & special projects.
His second collaborative album with Miktek is in progress and will be released in 2022.
A collaborative album with the Danish artist Lauge is also in progress.

Sonic experiments derived from syncopated rhythms, intricately crafted ambiences, and patiently evolving textures, Pattrn’s work as a producer is rooted to the perception of time and space. Playing violin since the age of four and later on majoring in both acousmatic music composition and sound engineering, Pattrn’s precision is the fruit of a lifelong dedication to music of all forms, from creation in itself or through his implications in Brussels’ scene. 

Beyond the years of technical know-how and self improvement in production, DJing, and live sets,  Brice Deloose aka Pattrn has been an active member of the local scene for quite some time. Cocreator of FTRSND, Brussels By Night Federation, Initiate, as well as having been the artistic director of Fuse club, Pattrn has spent much of his time promoting local artists and collectives to push forward Brussels' underground. 

Having shared the decks with the likes of Luke Slater, Luigi Tozzi, Claudio PRC, Kangding Ray, Svreca, and many more, Pattrn uses his sets to impose his world of seamless hypnotic music to lure passionates for always one last dance.

Subatomic, subaquatic particles bubble up to the surface while you seep into a dark blue void. Such is often the sensation one gets while listening to our next guest, Daniel[i]. His music has a distinct oceanic quality that can be as riveting as it is serene. With releases on labels such as Norite, Lowless, and his own Whispering Signals imprint, he has carved out a niche for himself among deep techno and ambient fans alike. After releasing one of his tracks on the last Unrush compilation, it was only a matter of time until we had him on for a mix. Here has prepared an hour-long live ambient set, exemplifying the true nature and depth of his sound. So put on your diving gear, get your airtank filled up, and let yourself sink to the bottom of the ocean...

Activist of the scene for over 10 years through vinyl and digital releases on labels like Forsaken Cell, Telrae, NFEREE or Perchepolis and a multitude of projects related to Techno and its various branches. The 矯激 - Radical project (@theradicalzone) is the right playground to express a passion for sound experimentation and sound-design, this year will mark the release of my first LP "La Technocratie: an album of self-fiction" on the TOTEM label.


"This podcast is a hybrid work that follows the project I did a year ago for Perchepolis at the Baths of Popea and in a small village in Andalusia where I currently live. This time we meet in the Sierra de Cazorla for an aquatic trip between field recordings, modular sound design jams, and sound editing. I also slipped in some overdubs of my upcoming track Antifloor which will be released on Totem and my track "¡ Olé Allah!" ( Before Al - Bayyāzīn)."

I am Elias Epp, musician and software engineer from Ulm (Germany). Seramind is my music project. Born 1989 in a sovkhoz in Kazakhstan and raised in southern parts of Germany.
