Hey, it’s me again

This is Memory Loop — a live recording from my ongoing Studio Diaries series, and the very first release from my new upcoming project Cycles I.

At the heart of this project is a dialogue between my acoustic piano — Mme Bechstein — and a digital environment I’ve been quietly building over the past months.
With a custom TouchOSC controller on the iPad, the whole setup has become an instrument of its own. It lets me improvise freely, shape sounds in real time, experiment with live-looping — and stay focused, fully in the flow, without distraction.

This is just the beginning.
I’ll keep refining and expanding this setup in the coming weeks, and Cycles I will grow from here — one piece at a time.

Born from the right sound selected on my Korg synth, and with the right bit of messing about - 'Colossus' is a horn blaring piece based around the sonics of 2 of my influences - UK's underground pioneers 'Dutty Moonshine Big Band' and the fantastical German marching Techno band 'Meute'.
This is the live version, with the video version available on my YouTube channel. But it's so much fun to play, you can expect a full studio version of this song to drop later this year!

Frequency Journey from Ühenduses Festival 2025

During one of our recent Sound Journeys, the weather played her wild card.
Right at the beginning, lightning struck the substation — and just like that, the entire festival lost power.

No sound system. 
Just thunder & rain... and presence.
Thanks to our soundmaestro Hando, we managed to plug a single monitor speaker into a power bank.
It was a big tent, and the only sound came from this small speaker. So we turned it toward the people — and kept going.

This reminded us about trust. No resistance. Just presence
We created from what was. And that moment raw & real - became the most powerful part of the journey.

This is the space we hold.
Not performance, but presence.
Co-creating with what is alive, right now.

Because this is what happens when we truly trust Life...
not as we wish it to be, but exactly as it is.

Hey Sunshine, 
here is my first Instrumental-Life-Looping Soundjourney for you :). It is called Offering to the Rhododendron and was inspired by the wonderful bushes of Rhododendron in my Mams Garden. Completely improvised by me with guitar, bansuri, violin and voice. It was a wonderful dreamy journey, one that I spaced out myself totally at one point and felt like a mushy little cloud after I finished the session. So let yourself be carried away into something soft and cloudy with this first Soundjourney of mine.

Bridging the gap between live acts and DJ’s, Yakkara is on a mission to change the shape of live dance music. Using only loop stations and analogue instruments to create upbeat, dark techno in a bid to match the soundscape of DJ’s. Heavily influenced by The Prodigy and the 2000’s rave scene, Yakkara blends distorted sounds with big bold bass lines and atmospheric, percussive overlays. Rebelling against traditional pigeon holing, expect a plethora of genres including minimal, 2step and garage - steering clear of most other loop artists by keeping a continuous flow of music during sets, making him an essential inclusion to any party.
