Starting Phase 3 with a Dragon Ball Lofi Hip Hop track! I began working on this song during the first two weeks after college started. Then, I took a break from producing and only finished it after the first semester. Unfortunately, my architecture project made me work like a motherfucker, but in the end, it was worth it. Thank you, God, for giving me the strength to never give up and for bringing me one step closer to becoming an architect.
This lofi track is a simple one, I used pads, keys, guitars, hi-hats, and three types of drums. But, honestly, the most challenging part of making this was the transitions. In the second part of the song, I included the moment when Bardock and Gine (Son Goku’s parents) send their child away to Planet Earth. In the original “Dragon Ball” story, Goku arrives on Earth as a baby, but in “Dragon Ball Super: Broly”, he is slightly older. The first time I watched the movie, I didn’t like that they changed this detail from the original. However, I did appreciate how Bardock and Gine said goodbye to Goku, that moment was truly special.
This song is a small tribute to the great Toriyama. Thank you for giving us the greatest anime of all time!
