After Bungle's incredible 'Collide EP', Sound Enforcers welcomes the duo Response & Pliskin for its fifth release. They represent the best of the Manchester d&b scene and regularly showcase it on their label Northern Front Records or more recently on HeadzState, Metalheadz's sub-label.

Four titles on the program ranging from the heavyweights '45 Killer' and 'Red Ground' to the more mental 'Frozen Planet' or the more technoid 'Divide & Conquer'. An ultra solid package, truly flawless, enjoy!

The General of Bass Camp Recordings. Very few non-producer DJs can say they have played in venues from New York to London to Amsterdam to Serbia to Slovakia to Czech Republic, and be blessed with the honor of playing along side such names as Storm, Equinox, Remarc, DJ Craze, Double O and Mantra, Liondub, Marcus Visionary, Simon "Bassline" Smith, IM3, Odi, Reid Speed, Dara, Sabre, Clarity and many others.  A student of Drum and Bass, he has learned to perfect a unique blend of techno, reggae, house, hip hop, and classical oriented sounds into a style he likes to call "Northern Mantis Boxing". However when asked, he will be the first to admit that above all he is a DJ first. 

Bass Camp Recordings has grown to include not only musical works for dance floors, but also video for film and live musical recordings. Currently he is working on audio works and mastering from all areas including releases from several independent hip hop artists, Government officials, the (Great) City of New York, and many others. Not bad for a former trombone and oboe player who couldnt play the drums...

Australian Born 1971. Dutch Mother / English Father (which has influenced my music between UK breakbeat and Euro hardcore)

Rikochet began his DJing career at age 20 in the fresh and very underground 1991 Rave era. At the time, he was in the Australian Navy, which is how his earlier Dj pseudenyom Popeye was created. Popeye’s first set launched at the legendary O’Mallys Hotel, Sunday recovery parties in Brougham St, Kings Cross. Playing all styles of dance music from House, Trance, Rave, Hardcore, Breakbeat and Jungle. He became part of Sydney’s Rave and Breakbeat culture. DJing at various venues all around Sydney’s Clubs, Pubs, and Warehouses, he become well known for his piano breakbeat and driving bass line-style morning sets. With the release of the very popular, Junglistic Rowdiness and N4CER tape series, Popeye’s sound was in demand.
During his 3-year Rave career, Popeye played alongside Carl Cox, Slipmatt and a range of great Australian DJ’s. As a DJ competition panel judge, he also played numerous radio shows and was a columnist on the topic of Breakbeat and Jungle in the Rave journal, Juicy Red Apple & D&B in the UK "Knowledge" magazine.
As a JMA founding member, Popeye was instrumental in championing the new cutting edge sound of Jungle / Drum n Bass to Sydney through his various (and highly collectible) mix tapes. After the release of the JMA tapes (Vol 1. Jungle Massive Australia) in 1995, and a booking at Sydney’s Big Day Out festival (1997), Popeye changed names to Rikochet, and became the first Australian DJ to play Triple JJJ’s Mixup national program 3 times. 
Since then, Rikochet has played alongside some of the most influential DJ’s and producers of the D&B community, such as Moving Shadow’s Rob Playford, Grooverider, Ratty, DJ SS, Kenny Ken, Dr S. Gachet, Chemistry & Storm, and DJ Rap with MC Fearless to name a few.
After moving to Santa Barbara in 2015, Rikochet has joined forces with the L.A. 13 Crowz crew and more recently with the SB Junglecats
30 years on, Rikochet now lives in California where he spends his free time balancing between a passion for Drum & Bass, Breaks, Tech House & loads of Old Skool Jungle Techno , with a vinyl collection to die for.
