The Chopin Fantaisie-Impromptu is one of those iconic pieces of the classical piano repertoire. It is arguably played too much so why have I added my performance? I think the infinite ways a piece can change in the hands of different musicians is actually very interesting. My version is fast but lyrical and I search for an unexaggerated and natural romanticism and warmth.

когда нету денег на цветы и нарциссов,
нарвав в парке,ты преподносишь ей сюрпризы.

Всё поломалось с треском в середине мая,
Он написал ей смс-ку: "У меня другая.
Я уезжаю навсегда,не жди,малыш,
Я не люблю тебя,прости,просто так вышло."

Стучала кулаками нервно в его квартиру,
Но не открывали дверь там,
На мобильном нежный голос как-то грубо
В сотый раз вторят "абонент недоступен".
Общие знакомые не знали ничего и
Даже не слышали о его любви новой.
Болели ноги,отбивая все пороги,
Не знали ничего в институте,на работе
Сказали,что уволился,улетел вроде.
Кто говорил - в Америку,кто говорил - в Европу.
Сначала подарил свободу,потом загнал в тупик
Стоил ей этих страданий всех счастья миг?
Она поникла,замкнулась,возненавидела
Его всем сердцем.Нервный срыв,клиника,
Где пролежала очень долго без посетителей,
Не подпуская к себе ни подруг,ни родителей.

Проходит время,молча унося в прошлое 
Всё,что мы успели пережить и подитожить. 
Прошли годы,она встретила другого,
И он помог ей встать на ноги,быть собою.
С его приходом в её жизни всё изменилось,
Благословение родителей с божьей милостью...
Они поженились,громко,на весь город,
Сыграв свадьбу.Было правда здорово
Уметь жить без того о ком нет вестей.
Конец горестей,с чистого листа начав всё.
И сколько ещё лет прошло,
Она его простила,пусть его судит бог,
Даже не думала,если б заявился он
В один день весь таков на её порог,
Говорить с ним было б ей не интересно,
И вроде надо бы заканчивать эту песню,но...

Около пяти лет было уже дочери,
Когда пришел конверт.Угадайте,от кого?
От него,да.И это почти 10 лет спустя...
Он решил вспомнить,она с иронией
Начала читать с забавой,но вскоре
Улыбка от лица пропала,
Она упала,сжав в руках письмо,
На котором он писал ей:

"Здравствуй,милая!Если читаешь эти строки,
Ты молодчина.10 лет назад так и не сумел сказать
Тебе в глаза то,что решил написать.
Ушел молча,сказав что-то напоследок
Про то,что полюбил другую...Так нелепо. 
Я написал это письмо тебе тем же летом
И попросил отдать тебе,
Когда не будет света от меня в твоей жизни,
Когда забудешь,
Когда-то в будущем,когда уже счастливой будешь.
Я обманул тебя и не ищу оправдания,
Просто так решила за меня всё судьба моя.
И знаешь,самое сложное - сидеть в квартире,
Слышать твои тихие рыдания за дверью,
Поверь,я тоже сейчас плачу и плакал ночью.
А дело вот в чем:

Врачи сказали,что у меня опухоль мозга.
Мне осталось пару месяцев,я серьезно.
Я никуда не уезжал,не любил другую,
Разве я мог разлюбить тебя,мою родную?
Мог забыть твою улыбку,твои объятья?
Прости,что не примерил на тебя белое платье.
Я надеюсь,это сделает кто-то другой.
Всё было хорошо,просто нам не повезло.
Я желаю тебе счастья,и вряд ли смог бы умирать на глазах твоих,
И ты после не смогла бы быть с другим,жила бы прошлым.
Прости,что обманул тебя, так было лучше для тебя - 
Когда-то моей половины,просто знай,я искренне тебя любил.
И люблю даже сейчас на последнем вздохе.

Phil plays in a refreshingly unpretentious and accessible way, telling musical stories with vivid, straightforward passion. Being a Yorkshireman, he says it how it is, and music for him is profound solace, catharsis and joy: so this is what he offers. Being extraordinarily fluent in the language of music on the keys, he loves to improvise freely, allowing the music to pour forth spontaneously, from a place of deep body-and-soul consciousness. And he aims to make the music of Mozart, Chopin, Rachmaninov, and every piece he plays, come from this place of real transformation and healing.
