m.O.N.R.O.E. has established himself as an artist to look out for through a simple yet at times forgotten process of making quality music and being able to spin it live at an exceptionally high level.

Following in the footsteps of his father, who worked as a producer alongside the legendary James Brown, m.O.N.R.O.E. has been a student of music all his life, and it shows in the soundscape and quality of his work.

His first full release came on ‘VIVa Music’ alongside Daniel Dubb. He has three solo EP's on Get Physical, and one on Saved Records. His EP's have landed in the binders of electronic music’s biggest names, with the likes of Marco Carola, Steve Lawler, Detlef, Hot Since 82, Guy Gerber, Joris Voorn, Adam Beyer, Leon and many more spinning m.O.N.R.O.E.’s tracks in their heralded sets across the globe.

In May, Get Physical are to release a compilation featuring 12 exclusive tracks from mainly American artists entitled ‘America Gets Physical Vol.1’. Before that, one of the standout singles from it—Dance Sprit’s ‘Music is Life’—gets its own release with a remix by m.O.N.R.O.E., who has mixed the compilation.

Dance Spirit is Christopher Mohn and Reagan Denius, an American pair with a vital tech house sound that has come on labels like Bedrock, Superfreq and Tale & Tone. Their refined sound conveys a depth and range of emotions with heavy layering and deep rolling low ends, as exemplified here.

The atmospheric ‘Music Is Life’ has hypnotic, dreamy pads in the distance as icy hi hats and rolling beats drive forwards down below. The pads grow to consume the whole track and really flood it with emotion, then sax lines come in to add an exotic and trippy feel. It’s a delicious piece that marries exquisite form with real function.

Remixing is m.O.N.R.O.E. aka American Jordan Postrel, a Miami based DJ who has released on labels like Kindish, Viva Music, Get Physical and Saved Records. He smooths off the edges to make the track more deep and dreamy. He layers in his own neon synths and dubby chords and this one is a perfectly late night, heads down roller for cosy and intimate clubs.

This is a fantastic package that typifies the sort of cosmic deep house that the America Gets Physical compilation deals in.

This March, with the blessing of Cassius’ Boombass, Get Physical will release a fantastic m.O.N.R.O.E. cover of the band’s famous 'The Sound Of Violence' track from 2002.

Miami's m.O.N.R.O.E. has been a regular guest on this label over the years and mixed ‘America Gets Physical’ back in 2018. In February last year, he also contributed a fantastic remix of M.A.N.D.Y.'s 'Tonite' as part of a fine collection on the label.

This new track is a superb take on the original. In m.O.N.R.O.E's hands, it becomes a deep but festival-ready house cut. The iconic vocals take on a tribal feel that will get crowds locked in, then the chunky drums do a fine job of keeping you moving. Subtle effects and dreamy pads ensure it will also work on smaller dance floors where the details matter, but either way this one is set to make a big impact.

m.O.N.R.O.E has provided a real anthem in the making here.

A lot has happened in the last 20 years of dance music, but one constant has been Get Physical right at the sharp end of the scene. The label has become a globally recognised symbol of quality, renowned for its always varied and vital house output. Forming the backbone of the label's vast catalogue is the influential in-house DJ mix series, Body Language. It is a snapshot of exactly where the underground is at and has been assembled by tastemakers such as Azari & III, Catz ‘N Dogz, Dixon, DJ Hell, Francesco Tristano, Nôze and of course label-founders Booka Shade, DJ T., and M.A.N.D.Y..

Next to that there has been a constant stream of innovative, dance-floor ready singles, crossover club classics, seminal remixes and a number of standout artist albums. The label has always stayed true to its house roots, but with a rich array of influences taken from the worlds of disco, deep, tech and melodic house. Along the way, Get Physical´s core artists have been joined by red hot new talents including Alinka, Thandi Draai, PAUZA, Yulia Niko, Birds Of Mind, CIOZ and Monkey Safari.
