This past Friday, I had the honor of spinning a season-ending, 3+ hour set in front of an absolutely packed and juicy dancefloor at the Mateada, our legendary local venue here on Salt Spring Island, alongside the queen Kaya Ko.

What do I mean by that? Money is a symptom — an expression — of something else: a point of view, an attitude, a reality that you’re choosing.

So when you see “problems” with money, you have to ask yourself: Okay, if this isn’t about the money… if this isn’t actually a money problem… what is this?

What if the way money is functioning in your life is an expression of your consciousness — or your unconsciousness?

How many of you feel that you are choosing with money? Or are you at the effect of what goes on with money? Just look at that for yourself. Does money feel like a choice… or like something outside of you that controls you, that you’re at the effect of?

As Gary Douglas has coined: You don’t have a money problem; you have a receiving problem.

The founders and core members are David K. Barton of South Bend, Indiana, and Boyd Nutting of Niles, Michigan.
