"Projections show that by 2050 the oceans may have more plastic [by volume] than fish" (weforum.org). Micro plastics are everywhere. They are found in plankton, fish and crab, rain drops and even human placentas. Plastic pollution has become a major global environmental challenge of this century.

One Oregon woman is sounding the alarm through her incredible artwork and activism. Meet Elizabeth Roberts. She's a marine debris artist with The Washed Ashore Program in Oregon. She's also no stranger to large scale marine debris cleanup operations and she's brought both of these talents to the Oregon Coast. Elizabeth shares her art and marine debris information on social media at "Make Art Not Trash" (Facebook) and MarineDebris911 (Instagram) as well.
