It is understood that it is important to be aware and not to repeat the same mistakes again and again. It is necessary and very important for Muslims to learn from the past in order not to fall into similar errors, otherwise Muslim will always be bitten from the Lizard's hole. Within a changing world, what lessons do Muslims learn from the ever changing world?

The False Hopes of the Lizard's Hole

Exalted is He who took His Servant by night from Masjid al-Haram to al-Masjid al-Aqsa, whose surroundings We have blessed, to show him of Our signs. Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Seeing. [Qur’an 17:1]

In this month of Rajab, the Prophet (saw) was taken to Al-Quds and Jannah where Allah (swt) showed him (saw) the delights of Paradise and the torments of Hell. This miraculous event happened at a time of severe trial for the Prophet (saw) and its initial announcement to the Quraysh seemed like a victory for them.

Today Muslims are living through trying times and it seems the detractors of Islam have the upper hand, so what can we learn from al-Isra wal-Mir'raj and the events surrounding it to aid us to traverse these trials and emerge victorious like the Prophet (saw).
