This traditional French carol dates from the late 15th century and the early 16th century. It celebrates all of the figures in the crèche, the handmade nativity scenes found throughout France, where they are part of the Christmas celebration in homes and in town squares.  This arrangement features the different families of instruments bringing variety to this haunting ancient melody.

All sounds were performed/programmed from the instrument with minimal manipulation within the DAW, though some noise reduction was done while producing the track.

A duet, whether musical or a representation of a romantic or friendly relationship, featuring vibraphone and marimba.

The story is timeless: rhythms and melodies from both instruments intertwine, sometimes competing, yet always complementing one another. Like any great relationship, there’s conflict and resolution woven throughout the piece—a musical reflection of real life.

Originally composed for a 5-octave marimba and 4-octave vibraphone, this work also includes a transposed version for a 4.3-octave marimba and 3-octave vibraphone.

This was written for a game jam. It was a game about a monkey that had to climb and collect the bananas without getting hit by the evil witch's magic and falling.

COREY SANTELMANN (b. 1991) is a New England-based composer of choral, wind band, and chamber music that "shimmers with sharp sonorities," thoughtfully connecting old and new with expansive polyphony, exquisite harmony, and engaging minimalism. His music has been performed/recorded by university, high school, and professional/community ensembles in at least 29 states and in major cities across North America, including N.Y. City, Chicago, Toronto, Boston, San Antonio, Kansas City, Salt Lake City, Lincoln, Lexington, Topeka, Savannah, and the metro areas of Los Angeles, Houston, Dallas, Phoenix, Seattle, Portland, Raleigh, Tulsa, Boise, Spokane, South Bend, Rapid City, Anchorage, and Washington, D.C. He was a winner of the Foris Choir's 2020 Call for Scores in Portland, Oregon; his music has sold copies across the United States. Performing/recording ensembles have included the Cantabile Chamber Singers (Toronto), La Caccina women's chamber choir (Chicago), Firebird Chamber Ensemble, Savannah Area Flute Choir, Canyon County Flute Choir, Flute Choir of Southern Maryland, and ensembles at the University of Redlands, University of Texas at San Antonio, Arizona Christian University, Ouachita Baptist University, Bethel College (Kansas), Black Hills State University, University of New Hampshire, Manchester Community Music School, and Flute Alliance Flute Boot Camp (Tigard, OR). Notable, award-winning high school performing/recording ensembles have included the Summit High School Wind Symphony (Arlington, TX), Seven Lakes High School Wind Symphony (Katy, TX), Lovejoy High School Wind Symphony (Lucas, TX), Park Hill High School Symphonic Winds (Kansas City, MO), Topeka High School Varsity Band (Topeka, KS), Pius X High School Symphonic Winds (Lincoln, NE), Penn High School Symphonic Winds (Mishawaka, IN), Coeur d'Alene High School Wind Ensemble/Symphonic Band (Coeur d'Alene, ID), Colony High School Symphonic Winds (Palmer, AK), Sammamish High School Wind Ensemble (Bellevue, WA), Provo High School Chamber Singers/Bella Voce (Provo, UT), Panther Creek High School Chamber Choir (Cary, NC), and Torrington High School Chamber Choir (Torrington, CT). Other performance locations have included the University of Utah, College of Idaho, Chicago's Merit School of Music, Boston Children's Museum, and St. Mary's Cathedral in N.Y. City. Santelmann's other interests include early music, polyharmony, orchestration, and barbershop harmony. His works are published by Pavane Publishing and Tonally New Music; he is professionally affiliated with ASCAP. Above all, Santelmann strives to explore music's future without abandoning its past, remembering that art's goals should never circumvent the creation of a meaningful, human experience for performer and audience alike.
