This week, we continue the Challenges Men Face Series with a crucial discussion on "The Lies Men Believe." From the very beginning, Adam and Eve's relationship with God was derailed by believing a lie from Satan: "Did God really say that? Is that really who God is?" The enemy continues to use deceit to steer us away from God's divine purpose in our lives. These lies hinder our journey with God and lead us astray, preventing us from fulfilling our calling as men.

Here are some of the prominent lies that men often fall victim to:

"I don't have what it takes."
"I need to earn my value from God."
"I'll never be as good as that guy."
"I can do it by myself."

To combat these lies effectively, consider practical steps:

#1 - Confront the Lie: Recognize and confront the lie head-on. Don't allow it to take root in your mind unchallenged.
#2 - Seek Accountability: Surround yourself with godly men who can identify these lies and help you stay on track with God's truth. 
#3 - Replace with God's Truth: Replace the lie with the truth of God's Word.
#4 - Know Your Identity in Christ: Let this truth define you rather than the lies you hear or believe.
#5 - Community: Build a community of godly men who will stand alongside you in life's battles. 

By actively confronting, correcting, and replacing these lies with God's truth, we can overcome the obstacles that hinder our walk with God and embrace the fullness of our calling as men of God.

This week we finish The Restoration Series with a very special guest, Pastor Joby Martin! Joby Martin is the founder and lead pastor of The Church of Eleven22 (https://coe22.com) in Jacksonville, Florida. In addition to providing The Church of Eleven22 with vision and leadership, Pastor Joby is a national and international preacher and teacher. Joby grew up in South Carolina and spent much of his Sunday mornings hunting and fishing, and not at Sunday service. Joby knew of God but knew nothing of Jesus being the propitiation of his sins. He was at youth camp as a teenager and the counselors reenacted the crucifixion of Jesus, they gave a gospel presentation and a salvation invitation.

Joby would later go back to that same camp in college, and started preaching. It was at camp that one of the speakers said, "Some of you need to go into full-time vocational ministry," and Joby felt like God was talking to directly to him.

So I went and talked to my pastor and he said, "God will always confirm what he calls," and he invited me to be an intern.

Joby went on to launch his church in 2012. At The Church of Eleven22, they are calling all men to stand up and act like men. "There is a real attack on manhood in today's culture." It's a high holy calling to be created in the image of God as a man. To be a provider, protector, and servant king.

The problem is that men have abdicated their responsibility to be advancers of the Kingdom of God

"Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong." 1 Corinthians 16:13 (NIV). The most dangerous thing a man can do say, "I got this." You cannot act like a man until you bend your knee down to Jesus and have him help you do what you can't do. To be a man is to imitate Jesus. It's pride that leads men to say they got this on their own.

We all need men in our lives, Mark 2 mat carriers, friends who will carry you to Jesus when you can't walk. Write down those four men right now, if you can't write those four men down you aren't doing it right. The enemy is trying to steal kill destroy, we need a band of brothers to distinguish the flames of the enemy. Do you have friends that have enough faith that when you are in a tight spot you can borrow some of their faith?

This week we begin our Generosity Series as we sit down with our VP of Generosity Josh Henson. Generosity is simple, it is giving a resource that we have to meet a need. Biblical generosity is all about stewardship. All the resources we can use to be generous, don't come from us, God is the source and owner of all these resources. If we don't understand this it's hard for us to be generous. When we understand all we have is God's we are free to use these resources to do the work of the Lord. It is ultimately a blessing to be a part of the work that God is doing. 

"A lot of times we don't run out of resources, we run out of faith."

We often look at generosity as a switch to turn on or turn off but God says there is an unlimited amount. God says in every situation be generous. "You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God." 2 Corinthians 9:11 (NIV). God wants you to unlock those resources he has given you. As you release your resources to the Lord, you can now focus on where the needs are. Culture says if you want it all go get it, but God says if you want it all you have to give it all.
