A minimalist approach to intuitive composition. This piece was built up from a ritualized combination of a given set of elements: pink noise, band filtering, a sine spread, meandering synthesized woodwind, and a flicking through the pages of Seneca's "Moral Essays".

Twothousandandseventeen. A world full of super computers, mass surveillance, privacy encroachments, corrupt governments, censorship, broken moral compasses, fear mongering and cyber wars. Twothousandandseventeen. The beginning of the end. 

"Insert Coins To Continue" is the latest EP from Bricolage label head, Fragile X. It sees him explore themes of futurism, dystopian warnings and the current political climate over the course of 5 new compositions of sprawling digital landscapes, where machines rule the world and humans have dropped to the bottom of the intelligence ladder. Mangled, mechanical, electronics and crunching metallic structures collide as they sit atop a wasteland of glitches, cuts n clicks and futuristic ambience. "Insert Coins..." is the caustic creation of a fractured and twisted cybernated world in which syncopated rhythms clamber over the top of each other, vying for supremacy as they wire themselves together in contorted sonic waves that spread themselves around the electronic web of sounds that is carefully weaved out over the listening experience.

The entire sound is in my hands. I write cyber poetry, produce, and compose every track ready for Immersive 3D. Every beat is crafted for spatial and next-gen headphones.
Intimate lyrics, total immersion, every track.

For 30 years I kept unfinished demos to myself, never letting them out. Now I finish what I start and release it the moment it’s alive.

I use every tool available, human or machine, as an instrument.
Technology doesn’t replace creativity. It expands it.

We are an experimental sound collective that uses live mixing and an array of unconventional techniques to create improvised soundscapes. Crafted with field recordings, guitars, percussion, gongs, synths, and voice, each set is an unrepeatable dialogue between sounds that we collect and manipulate and the spaces and places in which we find ourselves.

'Bricolage' is an underground electronic label based in Glasgow. We specialize in distinctive sonic adventures from both local and global producers. Our aim is to give productive and imaginative artists a platform of complete creative freedom from which to express themselves.

We are currently not accepting demos at the moment due to a full release schedule being lined up into 2025 and beyond.
